3 Floyds Sobro - why so disliked?

    I picked up a bottle of sobro fresh for the carry out today tried it and loved it .
    its one of the best sours i have had yet but it seems to get little love on BA
    is this batch different from whats reviewed

    Based on the first few reviews I am guessing it is disliked because it is mildly tart, not sour, rather thin and metallic tasting. I am not sure what you are tasting, I have not had the beer, but what I am reading does not sound appealing.

    this was a new batch just brewed but it was sour to a pucker no metallic just smooth sour

    I had a Biggs' 'stache and thought it was great, but it doesn't have the best reviews.

    I guess it comes to taste but it seems a whole different beer was reviewed

    The first time they brewed SoBro it was bad, pretty much dead on from the description already given here. This year's batch was awesome (came out the week or two before DLD if I recall correctly). Glad there was so much dislike for it based on the first batch because it meant more for me, and to hear that it's out again this fall is a nice surprise.

    I had this years and thought it was great. I am really happy I picked up a couple.

    glad to see others enjoying it also I had bottle 20/270 from this batch so it is fresh and i thought it was a close #2 to Russian rivers temptation

    After reading this post, I jumped out of bed (literally) and ran over to the brewery to get some before they run out. I had RR Temptation and Consicration for the first time this past weekend and loved them! Can't wait to try this. BTW you better get some quick my bottles were 214 and 213 of 270, two bottle limit. My guess is they will be sold out either tonight or first thing tomorrow. Let's hope FFF starts making more of this type of brew.

    Sometimes they put bottles out for a day or two and then announce them, to give locals a chance. This happened with Murda'd out.

    New batch of SoBro...... maybe its time to crack the first batch supposed disaster that currently sits on a pedestal next to my lambeek wants dragonfruit. A pinch off topic, but was this years Broo Doo f*ckin phenomenal or what?
