Visiting 3 Floyds for the first time this Saturday with my father. Besides showing up an hour early to stand in line, I was looking for any other tips, suggestions. What to expect, and where can we get their beers on tap nearby, any restaurant suggestions, and a good bottle shop nearby. Staying in Hammond. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Beer Geeks in Griffith for sure... beergeekspub.com

As for restaurants, depends on what you want Charley Horse has a decent tap section and food. Let me know what you are looking for and I may be able to help. Also I wouldn't necessarily show up an hour early IMO...

Thanks- Beer Geeks looks like a good spot. Anything decent to eat, somewhere with TVs for football would be great. I know my father wants to go to a casino up North on the lake. All I've heard are horror stories about getting in on Saturdays. I'm driving from 6 hours away so want to make sure we get in and get a seat. Thanks for the info!

For future reference Hooters in Schererville always has Floyd's beer on & obviously the game.
I would totally recommend Bone Dry in Highland bar wise. Definitely Beer Geeks. One Trick Pony is solid.
Bull Dog is Whiting has ok beer but plenty of tvs. And close-ish to Horseshoe Casino.

Why not enjoy the beers on tap at FFF? I've been a dozen times and have only had to stand in line once (when they released a bunch of barrel aged beers). They usually have a great selection on tap and their food is pretty decent.

Not sure about bottle shops or places nearby, but I would definitely recommend eating and imbibing there.

    Cheers!

Just realized I'm a little late here. Haha.

Also, OP was looking for a place showing football games... which conflict with FFF's more "metal" approach to bar entertainment.
