I was going to ask you to post a pic so we could see what you're talking about.... but you happen to be in luck--
    I grabbed one of each style label from my stash and snapped a photo for our convenience;

The one on the right seems to be for european distro. The left for distro stateside.

it probably doesn't matter, it's a great sour no matter what color.

I support the previous statement about the distro difference. The gold stripe is in ounces and the green is in some foreign measurement that i'm too drunk to look up too.

bought a 3F last week and the cork was broken in 3, with cork pieces in the beer. quite disappointing, but the bottle shop replaced it so nbd

Similar label differences occur in the standard 3F gueuze... the european version is green vs the american yellow.
We have been told the beer is the same but several people seem to wholeheartedly believe the green version is better.

I tried to settle this argument at a tasting last labor day by bringing 2 bottles with the same exact bottling dates, one green and the other yellow...

Surprisngly, people all agreee that the green one was better.

One time fluke? Conspiracy on the part of the Belgian government?
    We may never know.

I could see the method over-seas shipping making a difference, the conditions might not have been as nice in a container ship.

I've noticed differences between yellow and green label Oude Gueuze as well, but havent had enough bottling date variety to know whether it is legit or in my head.

    Was it a blind tasting?

    No.
I seem to recall a slightly earthy green pepper note in the yellow label bottle that the green label was gracefully lacking.
Markintithar and others will need to comment to validate my failing memory.

England used to also get the yellow label versions of OG, probably because they're an English-speaking country and the green label versions have no English on them. So I think it's based more on the language that is spoken in the region, not whether or not it's overseas from Belgium.

I haven't been there in a few years, so I can't say for sure if this is still the case.

Also, doesn't Cantillon do the same thing in a more subtle way with their back labels? I seem to recall seeing English descriptions on the back of only US & UK bottles.
