Hey guys, Anyone ever ferment or secondary a small batch in those large 3L wine jugs? Anyone know what size plug fits in them? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

sorry - meant to post to homebrewing forum

I have a friend who uses the big 5L Carlo Rossi jugs to make smaller batches of things like mead and maple wine. Seems pretty legit to me!

As for plugs ... I would just take the jug to my LHBS and try stoppers 'til one fits.

Yea seeing as nobody seems to know I think I'll just buy a few and hope one fits. Thanks

I use 1 gallon jugs for small batches, experiements and things. I usually can get a 6 pack of 12 oz bottles and a couple 22 oz bottles.
