Aren't the lines into the Fulton/Wood fests usually worse than the beer lines?

Any idea why the tap room is only pouring untill 8:30?

No clue, but they usually aren't open late so maybe it has to do with the liquor license hours?

Did you have coffee at high noon saloon on Friday? If so, I had the same and it was totally off. Very sweet with lots of cherry. Luckily the regular tasted great.

2015 Prop - tasted really good in draft. Bums me out bottles are not the same experience.

2016 fruit - really good, very sweet but time will be its friend

Budonia - best BCS ive ever had. Amazing

Koval Cuvée - meh. But what can you expect from a shit whisky producers barrels. Not horrible just not very good either.

So how was the venue/experience? Still debating if I want to go tonight.

Had a ton of fun. The line for BCS was 10-15 min max at its longest. Most times it was 5 or so. No line for the sour sisters at all. Plenty of bathrooms and food options. Against me rocked. Would 100% go

    Like was
15 minutes for bcbs once you entered the taproom or just in general?

Would you mind elaborating exactly how the bcbs was ran?

I would say 15 mins in general.
tapping times were a bit funky. They would put stuff on for 10m-15 mins, then take it off, then put it on a again randomly. There was no way to know whats on tap until your in the taproom so pays to keep your ear out. Raspberry and Templeton Rye went crazy fast. you can pick up 2 pours of each time through line

Tap room stuff still not until 5 tonight even though gates open an hour earlier?

Seems like this event would've been a prime opportunity to unveil this year's Bourbon County lineup.

If history continues, most of it won't be packaged for a couple/few more weeks.

I'd agree tho. Their own party seems like the right time to debut

My wife and I went yesterday. It was the first time for both of us and we got there at about 3:45. It was pretty solid. The taproom wasn't overly crowded and some of the tappings actually started before 5:00. By 5:30, I'd had pours of Cuvee of Darkness, Will's Revenge, Heaven Hill Barleywine, and 2015 Coffee.

For a $10 donation, $3 pours, and a solid lineup of bands, I'll be back.

Yesterday was very fun! The beers were good!

I was a bit down on the BCS lineup from last year but I waas honestly shocked by how good prop is drinking. Got to try Templeton for the first time and i was very good. Coffee is always a treat too.

I didn't go to the block party, but I was downtown yesterday and made a slight detour to see what was potentially left over at the taproom. Glad I did - they had Regal Rye which I'd never had. I had that and 2015 BCS and while I liked the Rye, the standard was just better to me.

And see, I'd disagree on the Baudonia and Kovals (both a pour of a single barrel and the Cuvee).

The Koval was a nice surprise. A bit sweet, a lot of dark fruits, complex... would drink again.

Baudonia was like meeting up with an old friend after a few years and realizing they'd been hitting meth pretty hard. The person you remember is there, in all their rich glory, but definitely much worse for the wear =/

Also, the Heaven Hill BW Saturday night had 0 carb. Not sure if it was intentional, but made it taste like diabetes water. Sad dirt pour =/

Yes, it was at High Noon Saloon. Pretty disappointing.

It sounds like there were no issues with Coffee at the Block Party?

It wasn't a full unveiling of the lineup, but they did debut the 2015 Coffee at last year's party. I think it had just been kegged that week before.

Thanks to both of you for reporting back. I'm sure I'll get an apology response very quickly from the e-mail I sent to GI. :astonished:
