$7.99 here in Dallas, I have heard people getting them for as low as $4.99 in other states.

I use the "torch" app on my smart phone and shine it on the neck when I can find the Julian date code. The guys at liquor store stopped asking what I was doing a loooooong time ago.

PLEASE make the 32oz'ers go away and never return. Its heartbreaking seeing rows of them collecting dust on the store shelves since September.

12 oz 6 pack formats in the winter is enough to get my annual fix on them while guaranting freshness. Seasonal only for the IPAs.

Just picked up a 3 month old bottle today. Boy those dates are a bitch to see. Needed the magnifying glass at home to see it !

I know its a pain in the ass but you can just bookmark a julian calender on your phone thats how I do it, after buying a 6 month old maximus I won't let that happen to me again.

There are a couple of different apps for that for your smart phone.

didn't check the date when I picked up a 32oz the other day. Don't care what the date is, it was so good I'm probably going back to buy about 12 more of them :grinning:

Even easier, just estimate every month as 30 days and you can ballpark it in your head in 2 seconds. Example: You see 174, so you figure 5 months (150 day) and 24 days into the 6th month of the year (June 26th)

Someday i hope we see a simple bottled on date. A lot of breweries are going this way and hopefully more to follow.

At least you guys can get Sucks! Where I live they don't allow sale of 32oz bottle ... :slight_frown:

Heh. Each time I've seen these quart bottles I've picked one up and turned it round and round and held it at various angles to the light and I still haven't found a bottling date on a single one. I'm beginning to suspect that Lagunitas bottling dates are an urban legend.

I've actually started finding that I can rarely get ANY fresh Lagunitas. Hop Stoopid, Sumpin, even their regular IPA is two-three months old every time! And, no surprise, I was starting to find them less and less compelling.

The ones at my local TW are dated "301". I'm hoping newer ones will show up soon.
