My brother went. Said it sucked and they ran out of beer with about 2 hours to go. They ended up just going to tribes.
Was on its way to being excellent before the kegs started kicking left and right. Somehow someway there was a woeful underestimation of the beer required to keep the fest ripping until 9p. Only about 4 stands out of 40+ still serving by 7. I heard there were some heroics by some of the breweries to go get more beer, but the damage was done. I'm not a pop punk fan, so had no interest in sticking around for the bands after the "beer fest" part of the beer fest was essentially over.
I agree with the above assessments. Most breweries were out by 7:00 pm. It seems like when one ran out of beer the rest just packed up and followed suit. I don't think most were prepared for the onslaught of people coming in at 4pm. As VIP I got to get in early and everyone ran towards Koko Beware, which was one of the highlights of the day. Other than that Transient's The Juice is Loose was fantastic. I kept going back for more and more pours. The collaboration beers were interesting. Lots of wacky ingredients chosen through a random method of roulette. However, most were extremely unpleasant in taste. Food was awful. Hot dogs with no condiments and some sad wings were all I saw being offered. Overall, it was a solid beer fest for at least four hours and then quickly turned into a music fest. I can totally get into pop punk music, but do not like the idea of mixing a beer fest with so many bands.
Was disappointed that I couldn't go but now kinda of glad that I didn't. Surprised that many breweries ran out so early. I'm a fan of 350 since they are the closet brewery to me and wanted to try some other locals. Always next year
