I've been dying to try this beer since I first heard of it in a forum post here. Now I want to know what the availability in Mass is. If anyone sees it in a store or at a bar, please post it here - I must try this beer!
Most places have gotten it by now. Just noticed Redbones is tapping some soon as well. http://redbones.com/brews.html
Vinnin Liquors had some, i snagged the last 4 pack in the cooler, but they probably have more in the back. It is ok when it warms up a bit, but will probably pass on it again with fresh FBS readily available (I know this isn't a review thread, sorry). Good luck guys.
I've only had it on tap and didn't get any booze. I do have the cans as well. I thought it had some nice coffee flavors going on without it being super chocolate rich.
I didn't find it boozy at all. Thought it was pretty good. Interesting mouthfeel that I read some people attributing to the extra protein from the Romano beans. To my taste, heavier on the chocolate, less coffee. Different kind of chocolate flavor though - I was expecting it to taste cocoa-y from the husks, and it did not. Definitely different - cool that it was based on a Baltic Porter rather than your more standard imp stout. Would like to see some other big dark beers like this.
