I don't know much about this industry but the more I read up on it, the more amazing it sounds. http://www.geekwire.com/2015/3d-printer-for-beer-picobrew-unveils-new-499-at-home-brewing-machine/ Apparently, you can print real beer and even creates parts to create your own Home brew kit. Does anyone know about this technology? Have you ever tried printing out your own beer or making replacement parts perhaps . . . I mean here you can 'print' your own bottle cap?? https://pinshape.com/items/7166-3d-printed-beer-bottle-lock Love to know if this tech is what they say it is and if anyone here has some experience in this. If it's true, I'm starting my own micro brewery baby
Yes, the Pico Brewery is a real thing. It has some advertising space on this website in fact. As for the pro's and con's of this contraption, search the forums. You will get a good idea of what BA homebrewers think. It is not very respected. People have been "printing" beer for well over a thousand years. No USB required. Cheers.
Thanks for your reply billandsuz, yeah I guess why complicate something with technology when it's not required. I'm already having issues with figuring out my Samsung phone! Ha! Cheers indeed
Is any machine that takes raw materials and produces a product considered to be a 3-D Printer now? Silly, IMO.
Wait....wouldn't it be the opposite? This technology makes brewing easier, or at least it's supposed to. I think they are just trying to target the same consumer group. You know, the useless techy type.
I like to think I'm 3D printing my own beers each time I pour a draft or open a bottle. The end result is always a delicious carbonated treat. Works great!
