It's definitely worth it to try once.

I'm pretty new to geuze. I listened to the recommendation that I should get it when I'm more familiar with the style. Then again, I maybe should have bought it and just held onto it considering the fact that I feel craft brew has become more and more popular. Maybe within this year, finding 3F or Cantillion will almost be impossible for me.

I passed on this when I saw it. I bought multiple 750's of la petite mort instead.

$21.99 near me. It's definitely worth trying once, preferably side-by-side with a bottle of the regular 3F Gueuze.

No definatly like geuze a lot but my thought process was la petite mort was cheaper and wasn't gonna be around if I didn't get it then. Those bottles of 3F are still at that store and have been their for months. Not that I wouldnt splurge on it once but i didnt have the cash to get both. I'm planning on picking up a bottle in august when I go back I wanna do a tilpuin cantillon and 3F geuze side by side. Have the other beers just need That 3F. Its just beer though even if I miss out I can just use the money I didn't spend on something else and still drink some awesome Belgians.

Edit: I also passed up a still nacht reserva 2010 at a bar that wanted 48 dollars for it. Some will say that was a mistake but I will contend that anything over 25 for a single bottle is really pushing it as far as beer goes for me anyways.

Absolutely amazed the 3F bottles are still at that store. Here, they would have been gone tout de suite.

And BTW was thinking you were crazy to have passed up on the 2010 still nacht reserva until I saw the $48 price tag.

Yeah truth be told a lot of good Belgians get looked over here in Wisconsin due to the price tag I see fantome and tilquinn frequently until someone who knows it stumbles across it it'll just sit there. Most people here either drink locals or German beer.

I bought one in Burlington, VT a few weeks ago for $19.99 because we don't see too much 3F in PA. I thought I overpaid at first but after seeing the other prices people paid, I'm not feeling as much like a sucker.

I'm staring at a case of 3F golden blend, but for the $24 price tag I can get 3 tilquin.... I've been standing here awhile now trying to decide lol.

I certainly can't argue that you should spend more than you personally feel is right on beer, but I will point out that $48 for the Stille Nacht Reserva is a remarkably low price considering how limited it was and the fact that it was available at a bar. I think retail was around $40 on the low end for that.

I went back and splurged on a bottle. I'm sure I won't regret it in the long run. Happy birthday to me, I suppose!
