Driving back to Chicago, I'd be near Munster around 3pm. Is it terribly packed on Sundays? Hate to drive 4 hrs toward home and have to,wait an hour to get a seat. Any pub exclusives that are a must to at least swing by for a growler today? Thanks and cheers!
It probably will be packed. Last few times I was there, they were not doing growlers anymore. If it's changed, someone feel free to correct.
No growlers huh? F em. I've about had it w the 3F circle jerk down there anyway. Thanks for the heads up.
They were doing growlers, but they had an accident. The glass they got from their supplier wasn't rated for the pressure of their counter pressure machine. I guess one of the bottles exploded on a person filling it. Or so the guy at the to go counter told me a while ago
FFF 3F is Drie Fontenein. And they restarted the growler program before the bottling-line expansion earlier this year but have not been doing them since that was completed.
Does anyone else not really like the food at FFF?? I guess my palate is not exquisite enough. I just go there get beer to go and leave
I've heard people shit on the food at FFF, but honestly, I've never had anything there I didn't enjoy. The last time I ate there was in April, and they had two burgers on the menu.
The food menu offerings are typically a bit different from normal pub fare, but everything that I've ever had was very good.
I was there two weeks ago on a Sunday around 1:30ish and it wasn't packed at all. Guess that's not the norm but...
