4 elf party 2014

Seriously, does this mean I can show up at 7am and get 2 cases of BBpt5? I just can't see 900 people being in line @ 7am

 

With the significantly higher yield of BBPt5, it looks like the arrival time will shift depending on people wanting the other beers available. Either way, I'm just glad there will be plenty of BBPt5 to go around.

 

I agree, that is some of the appeal and getting to sample some beers while in line. I am going to get there around 4 - 5am and see what the deal is.

 

For those that have been to this before, when do they start tapping the draft beers? At 7am when everything opens or at 11am for the party?

 

11am is the large draft list (3 stations).
You can get some limited drafts when the Taproom opens at 7am.

 

Yeahhhhhh.. I didn't mean I wouldn't be camped out. Just saying there's no need to if you want BBPt5 bottles. That might have been misleading but it wasn't my intention.

Going this year with 2 buddies and it will be the first time for all of us at 4 Elf so we'll probably try and do the full experience. Any pro tips that a first timer might not be thinking of other than "dress warm and don't be a douche"?

bring a little taster glass and bring some cool beer to share. its nice to have some cool beer to share especially when people are sharing cool beer with you. also, pace yourself. you wouldnt think you can get blasted by drinking 2oz pours of beer but it can get ugly. you dont want to rely on someones help with your order sheet because you no longer know how to read or write.

 

After seeing 950+ people show up to one binnys for bcs I'm sure there will be plenty of people for this. Though this does tempt me to go

 

Plenty of BBPt5 to go around! Can't wait to enjoy another awesome party!

 

Also, that's assuming 900 people buy 2 cases, which I doubt will happen. Realistically, assuming each person buys roughly more or less a case, there should be enough for >1700 people. That's insane!

And it looks like they didn't focus on making other beers, and instead put all their efforts towards making way more BB Plead. Kind of bummed there's no other good bottles like Monster or BB Monster.

 

to each their own but the BA Sarsaparilla 666 is great...And the Rum barrel 4 elf is decent as well

 

Do you prefer the Rum 4 Elf or Brandy 4 Elf? I've only had the Brandy and thought it was solid. Rum seems like it'd pair even better with a spiced winter warmer to me.

Show up at 530am, get your bottles at 8 pm. The benefit (a bigger deal for some than others) is that you get your bottles early and don't have to wait around. I heard last year, late arriving people didn't get bottles until wayyyy later than they anticipated sticking around for. Especially for those who have a long drive. Just another way to look at it is all I'm saying.

 

Guess I dont mind waiting around drinking $5 full pours of BBPT5 and whatever other amazing beer is on tap

 

Looks like I will go there around 6 and hopefully get a case of Plead the 5th and Rum 4 Elf.

 

I live 40 mimutes away, not an issue for me thankfully.

 

last couple of years I had a couple people reach out to me for this, but I wont be able to make it again because of work obligations. if there is anyone passing through or living in chicago that wont be utilizing their 2 case limit, id be willing to pay 30 a four pack or 2 and to help out with gas and your generosity. I will be sure to pay it forward, and thank you in advance!
