Yeah. I tossed them. Not worth using. The reason I like CTZ is that pungent dank quality. It adds balance to all the fruity tropical hops.

I'm using the Hallertauer Tradition right now in a trippel - they're fine.

Used the Blanc in a tripel, just tasting at about 3 weeks now. Definiately picking up some of the wine-like characteristics that it's known to impart. Tasting pretty good already, but I'm going to toss in 2 oz. for a quick dry hop as well before I keg it.

I was satisfied with the Hüll Melon in a single hop, dry hopped AAL I just tapped.

Figured I'd circle back and share the results of my purchase, used both Halltertau Blanc and Hull Melon yesterday in a Blonde ale and both smelled/looked amazing. Given what I paid for them, I couldn't be happier.

I posted earlier about my CTZ hops being brown and bland. I emailed 47 hops and they responded immediately. They sent me a new lb of hops of my choice and sent it 2nd day air along with some pens and stickers. Customer service was A+.

I’ve made two ipas with the other hops I bought and they all turned out great.

Used some Perle over last weekend to bitter a Kolsch. Seemed just fine. Also, the Hallertau Blanc dryhopped beer has some intense white wine/grape notes even after about a month. Next on the list is to use the Azacca and Centenial (maybe with some Citra I had left over from a different purchase or the Manderina) in an IPA.

Used Cluster today in Classic American Pils. Not really familiar with the hop, but nothing seemed amiss.

These Clusters didn't seem to impart as much bitterness as I anticipated, so maybe they have dropped off a bit. Wanting more hop character, I dry hopped with 2 oz Pekko (in 5 gal), also from 47 Hops. Tasted an uncarbonated sample that I just kegged. They imparted a fruity character, miscellaneous stone fruit, maybe? I was thinking they might be more Saaz-like. Not bad, just not what I expected.

Did you account for the potential drop off in AA due to the crop being from 2016? Given the age, I decided not to rely too heavily on any of these that I bought from the sale for bittering.

I did just use the Centennial and Azacca (which smelled great), but bittered with a fresh ounce of Bravo.

No, I did not specifically account for this drop. I believed the Brulosophy guys!

I thought I was accounting for the drop off, at least indirectly. The other ones I used seemed okay to me, although in retrospect, other beers I made with the 2016 47hop sale hops were not styles that particularly emphasize bitterness.
