15 - Whatever we could get our hands on
    20 - Natty Light...it was college
25 - Hoppy Pilsners and lightly hopped APAs...Early into my craft awakening
27 (now) - Anything with a preference to hoppy IPAs

5/10 - only Batman could capture my attention
15 - Corona or Coors Light and Captain Morgans Spiced Rum. My mom never drank much and my dad gets ripping headaches after a few sips of beer, we always had a LOT of rum around.
20 - After firmly establishing a love with MacEwan's Scotch Ale at 17, I alternated between that and common local stuff when I had money, and an unhealthy amount of regional bottom shelf lagers. I also began experimenting with Scotch
25 - Firmly established in craft and exploring all the American and Belgians beers I could get my hands on. I had my first Sour and developed a lust for funk. Started brewing.
27 - A sucker for Baltic Porters, Saisons, and sour things. Firmly planted in the Ardbeg/Laphroaig camp with Scotch. 90% of beer is now homebrew and locals.

15: coors light (hated it- just tried to look cool)
20: miller high life, MGD- drinking to get drunk and chase some skirts
23: macro sucks but I still partake often- got into Brooklyn, bitburger, and German weisse beers
25: Belgian Everything! Quads, tripels- St bernardus 12 was the kick start
27: IPAs and chocolate/coffee stouts- racer 5, and FBS were my favorites
30: barrel aged stouts and sours are my life- Black Tuesday and BCBCS meted my face! Still try and find piny , citrusy, bitter IPAs as well

    Awesome journey so far

5- like I was five? Sure... Stole a beer at thanksgiving, drank the whole thing, stripped to my underwear and chased the dog around the house waving a drum stick and screaming.
10- still stealing A sip here and there of the open brews of family members.
15- started stealing beers from the fridge. My stepdad always had petes wicked and other crafty options, so I got some exposure to more than bud.
20- college drinking, lots of crappy lite beer, my focus was more shifted to weed. Found myself drawn to new Belgium after having sunshine wheat for the first time.
25- tried to "get my shit together" and adopted the straightedge lifestyle, however I always missed beer. I remember telling my wife how much I missed it every time I saw the honey brown truck putting through town...
30- still an uptight straightedge asshole.
35- had our first kid a couple years prior, got sick of being an uptight ass and succumbed to the siren song of fat tire. Then Odell, then Avery, then lagunitas... And thus I was over my head in amazing craft beer. Broke into home brewing and started whale hunting.
37- today I have given up whale hunting and am usually happy with whatever beer is in my hand. I still can't get enough, and enjoy trying new beers from new breweries, however I gave up on some of the overly hyped beers. No longer am I ashamed to admit I enjoy colors banquet and fat tire.

    5 - see '10' below.
10 - full fledged beer geek.
15 - discovered Torpedo as a gateway to IPAs
20 - discovered SNPA & Sam Adams Lager
    25 - discovered Anchor Steam
30 - Don't remember drinking too much beer besides Molson Ale. Got tired of lagers and didn't care for imports.
    35 - See '30' above
40 - College. Culture shock - drinking age was 21. Olympia or whatever else was either free or cheap.
45 - Schaefer at local pizza joints Drinking age was still 18.
    50 - Don't remember

15 - Just a few sips here and there on vacations parents would let me try.
20 - College... the typical watery beers... the entire BMC lineup kept me hydrated... started gravitating towards Blue Moon
25 - Delirium Tremens, Chimay, Westmalle, pretty much all the Belgian Trappist beers (except Westy XII since I'm still searching for it), and Bell's Two Hearted
30 - Cheating a little bit since I turn 30 in under 2 months - Anything Grimm, Other Half, Hill Farmstead, Maine Beer, Westbrook, or Lagunitas
    35+ - TBD

Id like a redo of mine so.......

5- dad says i drank his heineken on him when he wasnt paying attention. No memory of this

    10- no beer no nothing

15- house parties with friends and many sketchy people growing up. Keystone light was choice. So was coors light. Not much else

20- big on rolling rock, miller high life, yuengling but starting into ipas early. Dogfish Head 60 minute was defining for me. So was Carton Boat

23- current age. Was a ticker. Every new beer possible. Blew way too much money. Had an epiphany. Went from ipas to stouts to imports back to ipas now i grab whatever is solid no suprises. A lot of Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams. Really into Belgian pale ales and saisons. And current favorite style is "session" ipas. Anything i can drink 2 or more of back to back is my go to. Still always have PBR around.

    25 - crap beer
    30 - crap beer.
35 - I had found Yuengling on a trip to SC a couple of years before. It opened my eyes up to more than BMC. I had also joined the Old Chicago World Beer Tour. Took me 10 years to finish my 10th tour.
40 - Eyes really opened up. Started buying beer on road trips to bring home.
42 - Today - I will have consumed around 460 unique beers in 2015. Finished up the World Beer Tour when I was 41. Joined BA earlier this year. My plans for the next year are to dial it back greatly, and wind down the beer collection quite a bit. I'd like to get to under 100 beers in my fridge, and backstock. I won't be buying much, but will try to try something new every Sunday for New Beer Sunday here.

5- Consistently prefer the taste of play-doh to Bud Light.
10- My friend finds a 6 pack of Coors under some car at the lake. Cools it down in the lake. Offers me one, I decline. Friend who is staying with me at my parents cabin begins drinking, gets violently ill for remainder of weekend...I had to snitch under threat of the belt. Haven't seen friend in 35 years. (true story)
15- Busch, Miller, etc...is located and purchased wherever and whenever money and a "Wooderson" type can be located/bribed. Good times usually ensued as the cops in my small town would laugh at us if/when caught, then drive us home.
20- Did not drink much, first professional music gig, saw too many bar casualties.
25- Girl dumped me. Developed a taste for whiskey.
30- The naughty years. Anything and everything. Lots of Jägermeister shots and free beer.
35- Mellowed and tired of the Mclagers started checking out SA, Leine's, and Newcastle.
    40- See 35.
45- SNPA, Torpedo....up, up, and away!

5-10 - An occasional sip of whatever was in the keg at our neighborhood block party.
15 - On a trip to Europe, I learned to like beer. Carlsberg White Elephant and Tuborg.
15-20 - High School in the late '70's: Lots of Molsen!
20-25 - College. Tons of Genny Cream and Mickey's Mean Green.
25-30 - Drank whatever was trendy: Corona, Sam Adams Boston Lager.
    30-50 - Drank a lot more wine.
50+ - Discovered Founders Porter and the earth shuddered on its axis. Now I'm addicted to researching, buying, and drinking really good beer. I buy it faster than I can drink it and my beer fridge is always full. I enjoy interacting with my fellow BA's.
