50/50 Eclipse futures announced (2012)

They usually don't "sell out" totally in a day but some smaller limited treatment are gone really fast. Last time, I put in my ordered at 5 p.m. on preorder day and was able to get everything. I remembered the Grand Cru and Buffalo Trace sold out by the end of the day.

Yup... I splurged for a bottle of 23 from 2011, last month. Wasn't a pretty price, but I felt that since we're coming to the end of the "real" train here, it was worth grabbing.

 

What PVW is not really PVW anymore? I am no expert, but I want to try some PVW 23 in the near future.

 

Still have some slots open for muling.

 

shit, I don't think I can get to their website from work so it looks like I might have to bring my laptop along with me and use my phone as a modem.

 

Just wanted to clear this up but this is open to anybody that lives in California, correct? This isn't something like the Bruery Reserve Society, right? I can just go in April 16th at 8AM and sign up?

 

They only ship within California, so if you have some friends willing to receive, you can still do it. It's similar to reserve society when you need a trustee. You can contact daysinthewake if you need help.

Why I so like this brewery. Very cool to hold onto the beer for him. Thanks for allowing a few of us in Australia to order. Very much appreciated.

 

Okay so I live in IN but would love to try and get some more of this stuff but kind of confused how this process works...can anyone shed some light here?

 

You buy futures online (half the cost of the bottle). You designate someone in Cali to receive the bottles for you (they only ship within Cali). If they have enough bottles to cover your order (which they have yet to have a issue doing), you pay the second half of the bottle cost and the tax (this is later on this year). They ship it to your person in Cali, the person ships it to you.

By the time your done with the shipping, the cost of the bottles rises from $20ish to more like $35ish.

They don't taste the same to me, but even if what you are saying is true, that would still make PVW 15 very desirable. WLW is the hardest to find of the Antique Collection and in many's opinion the best. PVW 15 is both cheaper and easier to find.

 

What versions is everyone looking to get?

 

I'm looking at 2 of each. One to drink and one to cellar for an epic tasting later on.
