Customer support (Daissy) replied 2 days ago and within 24 hours of my email to say that my issue should arrive in a couple of days.
It was in my mailbox either yesterday or today (didn't check yesterday). Either way I'm looking forward to reading it.

Question, When I receive an email usually labeled “Brad” and I open it and try to read the recipes section for members it never lets me? I have joined and log in but still nothing? I am still waiting on my mail subscription to arrive also fingers crossed.

Sorry if this has already been tried, but there is an FAQ page
    https://byo.com/faq/
If your question is not directly answered, there is a contact us link at the bottom of the FAQ

Forget about that "Contact us" link. I wrote them a week or two ago with some questions about their digital subscription, and never heard back from them. Most beer-related companies seem to have a "Contact Us" link for nothing other than show. Based on my own experience, at least 90% of them never ever bother to respond.

I got a completely different response than what some others have mentioned. After sending an email to the address next to "Questions about your print magazine subscription to Brew Your Own" on the contact page, I received a courteous and informational reply within 24 hours.

Not sure what you mean by those.
When I click one of their email links from my desktop pc, the page/s that load are essentially their big logo and a blank space below.....until I scroll down. Then the article is in view.

They replied to me via a website contact, but that was not recently.

When you try to open up the recipe it says members only log in once I log in nothing happens still can’t read the recipe. It’s no worries though. I’m over it really and don’t care at the moment. Just thought I’d ask the other day but honestly it isn’t worth the hassle right now.

@OldBrewer i'm not the person with the "official answers", but if there are some basic questions, I should be able to answer, or at least get you to the right person.

Thanks. The question I asked was:

"I currently have a print subscription (have had one since March-April 2012), but when the subscription expires shortly, I will be considering the digital subscription.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find out any specific details about the digital subscription on the website. I sent a message to the “Contact Us” option on your webpage a couple of weeks ago asking for some clarifications, but have never received the courtesy of a response. I was hoping to receive a response soon to take advantage of a sale that was available at that time.

What I specifically wish to know is if, with the digital subscription, one can still assemble the monthly (or two-monthly) magazine in some simple way without having to search for each individual article for that month?

Also, is there much more detail about the digital subscription available than what is provided on the website? I find the description quite vague."

I heard back from the Publisher, Brad Ring, and he said:

"Thanks for emailing us about digital membership. I’ve included the weblink below where you can find out more about ordering a digital membership online. I apologize you never heard a response back off the Contact page. We do have an index collecting all of our online articles and recipes sorted by issue date. The current issue is always displayed for members on their home page (this isn’t currently visible to you as a non-member). We also have a issue index library where you can view all content organized by issue publication date. Click on the link in the top navigation bar that says “MAGAZINE”. The issues are organized by year and then when you click on the cover image all the content links form that issue are pulled up for you. Your digital membership would include:

•All the same content from each new issue of Brew Your Own. Each article and recipe is broken out separately into its own webpage for easier reading across any digital device.
•Access to our full Special Issue library available for the first time digitally.
•Access to all content from the last 7 years of BYO issues.
•Updated recipes, projects, and articles from the BYO archives older than 2012.
•A new database of individual Mr. Wizard questions and answers for easy troubleshooting searches.
•Responsive design that works across any digital device and without the past app-based constraints or related upgrade bugs impacting reading experience.
•Monthly member live Q&A chats with different brewing experts.

I appreciate you being a print subscriber and I hope you’ll enjoying trying out our new digital membership to give you even more articles, recipes, and projects to help you make great homebrew. Here’s a link to sign up if you are interested:

It seems a little unfair that a new digital subscriber has immediate access to all the magazines that I already paid hundreds of dollars for, for over 7 years. There should have been a digital subscription discount for long-standing members who have already supported the magazine for years. However for new subscribers, it's an incredible deal...

I've been a BYO print subscriber myself for about 7 years. They used to put lots more content online for free but I'm guessing that was a money-losing proposition. I have all of my print copies still (which I prefer) but unfortunately when you search a topic in their online index the articles do not state which issue they appeared in (you can still figure that out by looking at the issue table of contents but it takes some work). I know why they do it. I'm much more likely to trust a recipe from 2018 over a recipe from 2003 (even though they claim to have updated recipes and deleted really bad ones) so I wouldn't want to advertise how old some of these articles are.

Be that as it may, BYO is still my favorite homebrewing magazine. I particularly love the style profile column, especially now that Gordon Strong has taken over. He does such a solid job.

Thanks for being a subscriber everyone...as I think most in BA land, including the Alstroms can agree on is that print is hard these days with rising costs. I always thought BA was the best beer lifestyle mag out there so still sad not get those copies in the mail anymore.

As for the online content, we hear this a lot, but it's actually really not true. We've always put 1/4-1/3 of each issue's content up for free. I think it's just perception as you can see all the other stuff that we never put online before (and yes, putting all that content online is a PITA!!).

The issue date is another common complaint, but don't think it's gonna change...and as the current recipe editor, i'll take that recipe comment as a compliment  Been trying like heck to get the old recipes up to snuff...and yeah deleted a lot, but sure there may still be a few bad apples out there, mainly more in the feature stories though than in the recipe section of the website. Just let me know if you find any. That said, there were some interesting aspects digging through the old archives...like finding a milkshake IPA-like recipe from the mid-90s
