(512) five in ATX

I am curious about this as well. I am guessing we are out of luck.

 

I picked one up at the 41st/Red River HEB on Friday and they had like 6 left.

 

I can't confirm if they still have any after holiday weekend, but I'd check with HEB Hancock. They had a ton of it on wed.

 

As of now they have about 4 left.

 

Might be too late on this, but Toledo's Hop Shop here in Waco had a bottle on the counter today. Not sure how many they had left though.

 

Hancock is out. Anywhere else?

 

Round Rock HEB posted that they got some today.

 

Well crap I'm driving to NB today from N Austin....may have to try there tomm.

If anyone in the Round Rock/Cedar Park area is looking for this, 9 cases just showed up at the HEB at Parmer/1431

 

May God have rest on their souls if they don't put this in whiskey barrels!

 

Wish they would have dropped the price and put it in regular bottles or had them screen printed instead.

 

Ha...so you were the one who commented on my picture on reddit.

 

Going forward, all their beer is most likely going to be in these types of bottles. The owner of (512) is extremely into being green. Doesn't want BPA-lined cans or bottles that can't be reused for their products.

 

Well, I for one, will pass on products that are overpriced for the sake of being green.

You can be green with glass. It's probably like 99% more likely to be recycled than this. And that's only if 4 glass bottles are recycled. lol

 

I do not know what to do with this bottle after I am done. It likely will just sit on my shelf.

 

I think the idea is that you fill it with more beer.

The problem lies in math. Not many places fill 750ml bottles (since it's not a standard growler size). Would've made more sense if they did 32oz bottles.

I just wish they'd change the laws already so we could just get growlers filled directly at the brewery. I'm literally 5 blocks away from them. If the laws changed, you'd definitely see them doing growlers.
