Do any of the beer stores around the Twin Cities offer any discounts for donating empty 4-pack and 6-pack holders?

Most stores that sell individual bottles seem to have a need for them.

I have a slew of them and I'm just curious.

Doubtful. Never hurts to ask your local store though. Maybe they will give you like 1% off.

In theory, a store should always have more than enough, because most of the singles originally came in the holders that they keep on hand. If anything, I would think that occasionally they need to throw some out themselves.

You're forgetting cans or other bottles that don't come in 4/6 reusable holders.

bent paddle will give you a free pint if you bring in 6-pack rings, that's pretty cool

I wasn't forgetting these, which is why I said "most" and not all. But as somebody who works in a store, please correct me if I am wrong, but from what I see, it appears that most customers randomly grab one or two from the singles (and we are talking typical 12 - 16 ounce bottles, not bombers, 750's, etc.) and don't utilize the six pack holders available. My presumption would be that the number of singles being sold in quantities smaller than an increment of 6, is actually larger than the number of 12 to 16 ounce bottles that do not originate in 6 pack holders.

EDIT: I also just remembered the recent surge over the past couple of years in craft cans, which usually come in rings, so I have to admit that my original presumption may be flawed by this. But I am now curious to hear it from someone at a store.

There are also people that use six pack holders for less than six beers.

Some cases or twelvers come with dividers as well, rather than six pack holders.
