It's very good and to get it for $70 without having to trade for it isn't really that bad. I would say go for it if you have the money.

No way you pay $70 for a $40 beer, just on principle. I've never had a CR and would love too, but it's not at $70.

That beer on my beer cellar is 80- 100 so it just depends how bad you want to try it and if you can't work out some kind of trade. Hope you get ut done one way or another. Cheers

not sure who's retailing it illegally, but it's a fine price. (shrug) it's like bar prices. i wouldn't buy it. better things to spend $70 on, but it's not an unreasonable price.

You know the old saying; If you have to ask, you can't afford it. I would not spend $70 on it as there are many other beers I love that I could get for that kind of money and be just as satisfied. To each his own though...

I wouldn't, but if it is something you really want to try and you can afford it, go for it. Otherwise, $70 will get you a lot of great beer.

Pass on it. Become a member of the RS and get it next year. That's my plan.

I'm dying to try Chocolate Rain, but I'd have a tough time spending that much.

On a side note, I wonder if Tay Zonday gets royalties?

Yes, you just need to hunt for a trustee (whom you can trust). I am a trustee for a few people. It works out pretty well, but you gotta pay shipping. Also, you work out whatever the trustee wants for time/effort. Most people will do it for some beerthanks sent back to them.

I picked up my full allocation yesterday. You can have a bottle for what I paid if you pay for the shipping and send me one cheap small local that I"ve not tried - how's that? I think it was around $35. I can check if you're interested.

For me it's been worth it. But I live close by. You have to see if you would buy not just the big guns--Black Tuesday & Choco Rain, but some of the other stuff as well. They are putting more and more interesting stuff all the time. With the RS you get a 15% discount, so that's an added bonus, (if you're purchasing beers from them anyway). But the exclusive offers, and guaranteed access to BT, CR, and a few others is what makes it tempting for those of you who are geographically challenged.

For me I am not going to spend $300 bucks to fly to California and attempt to get this limited brew for what $30.00? or more? So my rule of thumb is up to double the bottle cost. Like Apple Hanaphu $60 buxks a bottle for me is a no brainer, give me two thanks
