What does it take to get one? Has anyone traded one or seen one traded recently? What batches were bottled in 750ml bottles? Thanks!

    Hey man,
I believe batch 2 was the only 750ml and has some hype to it. All others were 375 ml. Hope it helps

    Batches 1 and 2 were both 750ml.

Batch 1 is impossible to find. Batch 2 isn't that hard and it's pretty bad right now.

Batch 2 is drinking bad now? Does this beer not age well?

Most beer doesn't age well...batch 2 was awesome around the release (4 years ago?) and has declined quite a bit. It's a more flat flavor profile, more grapey, oxidized, sweeter.

Are you disagreeing that batch 1 was a 750?

I loved batch 2 for about the first year or two but it's completely ridiculous now. I drank one a couple weeks ago next to a fresh batch 5, it was a shadow of its former self. I've probably had batch 2 about 10 times so I think I have a pretty good handle on it. If you drink that beer now and try to convince yourself it's somehow held up or improved, you're really trying too hard.

Batch 2 is obtainable. I definitely think it's a bit beyond its prime, but find that most wild ales peak at around 2 years. That's just my opinion though. I'd like to try batch one just as a curiosity at this point.

Agreed. I should have said American Wild Ales. I happen to be a big fan of aged lambic/gueuze.

I've had two batch 2s in the past 6 months and both were very good. I don't prefer it to more recent batches but I would put it above other old crazy sought after american sours *cough* Deviation *cough*
