I am not as concerned with GMO much in terms of harmful effects on my immediate self, but am instead concerned about the integrity of agriculture and unmodified organisms as a whole and what the long lasting effects GMOs could have on our planet...

I don't have a problem with informed adults choosing to eat food additives and GMOs knowing all the health implications. But soda companies target children too young to make an informed health decision the same way the cigarette companies used to, and beer companies aren't required to list ingredients on their label so we're not being duly informed.

I can look at two cans of yogurt on the shelf and see which one has high fructose corn syrup and which doesn't and make the decision for myself, I can't do that with beer without going out of my way to do direct research on each individual product.

I have less problem with eating GMOs and more problem with the devious business practices of those that produce them. They try to force farmers to use their own product which does not produce seeds instead of reusing the seeds from their previous crop, then sue them whenever their seeds happen blow off their trucks into their fields. I do not want my money to support that. Also there are many ways to genetically modify food, and many of them strip food of the nutrients they're supposed to contain. If there are companies that genetically modify food to be healthy without anti-competetive underhanded litigiousness, I will happily support them.

You can be concerned all you like. However last I knew this is still a free country an people can eat, drink, smoke cigarettes all they want. The point is its a slippery slope you tread when you start to be concerned over other people's actions because next you'll want to control those actions to save or in the govts case make money. Everybody gotta die sometime but the govt needs us to live and pay taxes till we die at 75 or 80. Careful what you wish for or your beer may be next on the banned list because im sure it contributes to obesity also.

If nothing else, when someone who can't afford decent health insurance has to be covered by your tax dollars, you should hope they are eating healthy, unless paying the costs associated with their heart attack is something you want to be on the hook for.

Lets face it as taxpayers , we are on yhe hook for a lot of wasteful spending. Personally id rather see my tax dollars going to pay some health care than go in some self serving fuck up lawer who turned to politics's pocket

At this point, there's no "beer content" being discussed.
Some have noted that this is a rehash of a previously covered topic, too.

Going to lock this one; thanks, all, for participating.
