Looking to set one of these up. I am open to suggestions again...we had pretty good turnout at the last Sunday outing, but I am also cool with going back to Thursday nights again.

I will check with Fraggle and start seeing what dates will work. I am thinking of something in the next 2-3 weeks.

Here's a link to the last event, which can give you some info on what we do and how they work:

Obviously, if you have questions let me know. These are usually alot of fun.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Thursdays or Sundays work for me although I probably can't make any tasting happening before March 22.

I'm in, as long as it's not St. Patty's Day weekend. We'll be down in LA for the RS initiation. I imagine that would be a bad date for most people.

As for dates, I can do both pretty easily, mildly prefer Sundays. Beer Rev is pretty quiet Sunday afternoons, plus being outside would be more reasonable.

Agreed, a nice Sunday on the patio sounds great especially with the nice weather coming around and less moochers is always nice. Can do pretty much any weekend since I'm out of a job after tomorrow lol.

I'm definitely interested but won't be able to make it if it's after March 18.

I have no preference as far as Thursday vs Sunday. I just hope it's scheduled for after 3/12 so I could bring along some fresh KBS to share.

My vote went, as stated, for Sunday afternoon.

Are they still cool with us doing it there? I know the peninsula group got banned from another establishment for our tastings. (Granted, this may be my fault -- I have a very bannable face). Beer Revolution has no idea who I am in person, so that helps. I voted.

I would be absolutely shocked if fraggle and rebecca had a problem with it. Well, as long as we share with them.

I just wanted to check, because my observation is that once a business gets successful enough, tastings actually COST them money. I don't begrudge any past hosting bars for throwing us out; it's the nature of the beast. But I also don't want to assume I'm always welcome with outside bottles.

Considering that the bottle limit is 1 case at the release, I think chances are excellent that at least 1 bottle will make it back to CA with me safe and sound. That gives me 23 opportunities to make an ass out of myself.

Yeah, possibly. But since I just did a tasting on a Sunday at Beer Rev (admittedly much smaller than this one) I think it'll be okay. Plus fraggle has posted in these threads before, his pointing out that the last one would have been on a Lost Abbey night had it been on Thursday instead of Sunday was the main reason it was moved, IIRC. But Chad said he'd check, though, so we'll know for certain before we have a date.

I hope you don't avail yourself of any of them!

FYI, I do have a message out to Fraggle on this. Obviously we appreciate the generousity BR has provided us in the past with respect to holding these tastings. That being said, if BR finds it inconvenient as we move forward then I will definitely respect that. I will keep you all posted.

I may just be able to make an appearance to one of these finally. Sundays I would prefer.
