I really enjoy 90 minute by DFH, but I never really buy it. I'll mostly enjoy it on tap if I drink it. Price point is usually high at the local place that gets it, but is found a super fresh and better priced four pack last week.

I noticed on the packaging it said, "Ages with the best of them," or something. Again, this is a beer I quite enjoy and have never done this. Has anyone put one of these aside and tried, say, six months later? What were your impressions? I took one of the four and put them in the basement.

(Very much looking forward to my annual "one fresh, one one-year old Olde School barley wine" day this year, too.)

I recently opened a bottle that was 8 years old. I was not particularly impressed with the results, nor have I been impressed with the results of any of my cellaring experiments involving similar beers.

It says that on 90 Minute?! I know Burton Baton says that and it's true, that stuff's better in a year than it is fresh in my opinion... but I can't imagine 90Min should ever be kept past about 3 months

I found one in my dad's fridge when I was home that was from our wedding gift bag from 2010. I snatched it up and brought it home. Plan to open it next August for a 5 year anniversary type thing. I will let you know in a year....

I would not have expected anything after 8 years... especially considering the style. That being said, dfh 90 is relatively cheap and easy to find so why not give it a shot? Perhaps try one after one year and see how it goes.

I had one within the past week that was ~3 to 4 months old. It was pretty bad and went down the drain. I personally like to drink my 90 Minute under 2 months old.
