I bought a St. Bernardus Christmas Ale 4 pack for $18.99 yesterday. I love this beer but usually only find the 750ml's, which is great to share, but I don't want a whole one by myself. The 4 pack is perfect. Great deal imo.

Also, Double Jack 4 packs are $11 where I live, which is awesome.

I don't think so. It's way too over-hopped. It tastes like a Black Imperial IPA, not an Imperial Stout. And I love Imperial Stouts. Just like Victory Storm King. Too many breweries over do it with hops. Because they assume that EVERYBODY loves hoppy beers, right? Wrong!

These have already been said for the most part but Boulevard Tank 7, 6th Glass and Long Strange Tripel are all really good and I see them for about $11-12 a pack. Really liked SN Ovila and Narwhal - can't remember what the Ovila was but I think the Narwhal was around $10 - either way both worth it in my opinion. North Coast Pranqster and Old Rasputin are both good and I can get those for $8 or $9. Funwerks is probably Colorado only but their Saison and Tropic King are both good, $11-12 for them. DFH Palo Santo is probably the priciest one I've ever bought and it was awesome but crossed the price threshold for me. Bought a ton of Upslope pumpkin ale this year - $15 for a 4 pack of pint cans.

I guess we will agree to disagree on this one. Try it with two years on it!

This works for me as well, but more so from a storage point of view (it's rare nowadays for me to drink the same beer throughout an evening while I'm at home...at someone else's house it's a different story). But at home I tend to see the remnants of that last 6-pack linger for far longer than a 4.

Some of my favorites in 4 packs so far, when factoring in price:

    Founder's Double Trouble
    Victory DirtWolf
    SN Narwhal
    Founder's Harvest

Wulver by Thirsty Dog. Single best barrel-aged interpretation of anything I have ever tasted. Backwoods Bastard is in a similar boat.

Skull Splitter by Orkney, for the non-bourbon-barrel stuff. Insanely delicious, and well worth it.

What would you guys pay for a 4 pack of BCBS? What would you pay for a case? I was planning to split a case 3 ways with friends but I just found out what it's roughly going to cost and we're all sort of backing away slowly...

Bought a bunch of 4 packs of the variants for $19.99 each last year (still have a mix of 4 bottles aging), and that's as high as I want to go for a 4 pack. If it really goes up as much as they're threatening, I may spend the same $100 on many of the great 4 packs listed in this thread, and end up with twice as much great beer.

So since everyone seems to be arguing that nearly every 4 pack is priced reasonable so what is an example of a not very good valued 4 pack?

I'll start... DFH Piercing Pils at $10.99 a 4 pack. A great pilsner IMO, but I can always find at least 2-3 other options of comparable taste at $8.99-$10.99 a 6 pack (a few authentic German ones, Prima Pils, Noble Pils etc).
