A beer I would drink flat? I would drink any beer while lying flat. I would drink it in a house. I would drink it with a mouse. I would drink here or there. I would drink it anywhere....

By many people's standards most of the beer I drink is flat. It isn't actually flat, just not over carbonated. Just how it comes from the cask. Nothing added, nothing taken away. I wouldn't swap it for anything and believe me I've tried a few things in 50 years of beer drinking

Why not? Thats 1/2 the fun of BeerAdvocate. Jump down the throat of the guy trying to be funny.
    What too soon?

And to answer the OP. I left out a bottle of Monomoy Kriek from Cisco in May the night of my 30th Bday. I wanted to review it. so dropped it in the fridge. Waited about an hr. Was still a really good Wild Ale.

    Cheers!

[Apple Brandy] Zhukov basically devours all of the carbonation anyway, so I guess I'd pick that.

It's not flat, it's just lightly carbonated.

I don't mind drinking a good, complex Belgian quad when it's flat. Too much carbonation can make it difficult to pick out some of the more subtle flavors. St. Bernardus Abt 12, which is gassy as hell, is a prime example of this. I typically drink a 750 over two consecutive nights and I usually like it better the second night.

That is an exact quote from Tomme Arthur regarding their carbonation problems. I can see why a huge 12% strong ale would be lightly carbonated, but sometimes you'll pop a Devotion and the pop is like "...pop".
