    Yeah, rather than being somehow a "unique" project thought up by the author of the piece, it is sort of how that guitar style came to be called "bottleneck slide"...granted, that one looks like it could use some additional work:grimacing:

    I think it was Bonnie Raitt, who hung with a lot of legendary acoustic bluesmen like Mississippi Fred McDowell when she was young, who told of being taught how to make a bottleneck slide by IIRC the hot wire/cold water technique and then to rub the rough cut on a sidewalk using the cement as an abrasive to smooth the edges.

    also, check out that old school brooklyn local 1 bottle...that's the fat tire lawsuit bottle

    i don't know about bottles, but i did this (http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Wi-Fi-Booster-Using-Only-a-Beer-Can) with an old can of heady topper and it definitely gave my wifi a boost in the tricky parts of my home (still not amazing though)
