I would say that King Henry is already dead... i mean, to me a beer "killer" is one that people will flock to in lieu of the beer it "kills." since nobody can really buy KH any more, im not sure it can be killed.

the fact they are comparing an american from an English barleywine would be my concern in the rating.

you know whats funny, it seems like king henry will never be brewed again and I had it recently and its no where near as good as it was a year ago so technically it's already dead. How do you kill something that's already dead?

Let's say you drop dead and I shoot you. You're not gonna die again. You're already dead. You can't over die. You can't over dry.

Not saying its not still held in highest regards but I'd like to hear from someone else that's had it lately and see what they thought. Still when I had it a year or so ago, it was the best BB Barleywine I'd ever had but it doesn't change the fact that its dead like Wooden Hell and Hi-Fi Rye.

Its deliciuos. I will have one a year for the next 12 years and report back yearly but as of now, still the best barleywine i have ever had hands down.

I will say Alpine Great is the closest I have ever come to having a better one but I'll give the edge to KH by a slight margin

I had King Henry and a 2011 Arctic Devil about a month ago. While both were delicious, I thought Arctic Devil took the lead by a slight margin.

Arctic Devil is amazing but so different from KH - Arctic Devil is more citrus fruit and not as sugary with dark fruit like KH.

I hope this is a joke. If it's not, I guess more Kuhnhenn BBBW and KH for the rest of us.

The Central Waters one is solid, but it isn't even in the same league.

Ahh, I see. They tasted KH on jan 17th 2012, which, if you all remember, was a notoriously bad week for colds.

The '13 vintage of CW BBBW was very good and was much better than I remember being in previous years, but yeah, still not in KH's league.

No fight or snark my friend
I think it has changed in flavor but I don't think it has gotten worse
I would say a lateral evolution.
    Just my opinion.
I don't think there are many facts in this hobby. Def. More opinions than facts
