Being in Colorado and working for a local Beer Bar it would be almost to easy for me. I like to support "local and good" as much as possible anyway.

I could do this as well being in Colorado, as long as OB keeps making Ten Fidy and GD keeps making oak aged Yeti. I'd be doomed without those two stouts.

Without getting into my libertarian political/economic leanings, drinking GOOD local beer for the sake of keeping your dollars local is one of the very few items where "buying local/american" makes sense.

Buying local Wisconsin, being one of the best states for beer not a problem at all. If I included MI, oh my god, could live in these locals indefinitely!!!

I could if I absolutely had to, but I would eventually go nuts. Kansas doesn't offer that much. My neighbor, Colorado, however ....

Unfortunately, no. There are hardly any beers that I care for produced here (north carolina).

THIS. I could buy local forever if I was forced to and die a happy man.

I think I could do it for a month in NC, especially this month since Duck Rabbit's Rabid Duck just came out. We have a lot of good breweries here. Olde Hickory, Duck Rabbit, Foothills, Mother Earth, Highland, and a host of other NC brews often find their way into my fridge.

I could do an month in Maine, be expensive for real quality such as Maine Beer, Allagash and Rising Tide (if only 6 packs were available and not just 4 different bombers) and travel to get to great stuff such as Oxbow, they are literally out in the middle of no where(about half hour from me though).

As it's been said, living in California, it would be extremely easy to do that. Even if I just went NorCal, it would still be pretty damn good

Why not food? Why stop with beer? I mean beer is a great start, but why not source your produce and meat from locals? I have found you can pick up fresh meat from your local processing plant for half what you pay at the store. And you can't beat it. I picked up some pork chops that were actually red in color and had flavor. For about eighty cents a pound. Lol. And my money goes to the butcher and rancher, nobody else. Kroger doesn't get any money, and the cash stays in state.

Hopefully you're lucky enough to have enough breweries around to find a local alternatiive. The only beer I have picked up that a colorado brewer doesn't make something at least equal to has been gumballhead. Even the KBS I had wasn't as tasty as the ten fidy I can get easily. And if you can't find something equal in your region why not make it yourself?

I could. With all the stuff in Indy, plus FFF and my homebrew, it would be quite easy. I'd certainly miss a lot of stuff, including Bell's and Founders, but it wouldn't be a problem at all.

About 90% of the beer I buy is from Michigan, so I don't think it would be a problem. I'd miss the Cali beer and Goose Island the most.
