A (new) beer a day average

WHOA.

 

I joined this site in Mid August of last year 308 days ago and I have ranked 234 beers. This year I have ranked 157 across 164 days. I am escalating. Pretty soon I am going to have to face reality, work has to go.

 

I hit my 900th beer on January 1, 2015. Now I am at about 1140. That's 240 new beers in 165 days, so about 1.5 per day. Most of those were in bottle shares, tastings, and other small volumes though. Plus I have been doing a lot of "beer tourism" over the last few months.

 

Just started rating beers this year on BA and have 183 beers rated putting me over one beer a day. However I seem to have 2-3 beers only 3-4 times a week.

 

When I was heavily into trading. I believe I was having any where from 2-6 new beers a day for at least a year straight, easily.

So far I have ticked 594 beers since January 2nd. There are some I have missed, probably a few that were carried over from the end of last year, and lots and lots of bottle shares and events. I work in the industry, so I am constantly trying new things whether it be from the competition or from potential suppliers.

I average about a beer a day, but only 51 have been new this year. You guys are crazy (or younger).

Apparently 299 this CY. I'm at 1973 on Untappd and I'm looking for what #2000 is going to be. My birthday is 2 weeks from today but I'm not sure I can work that timing out. Next weekend we are road tripping to South Carolina and beers will be drank in Lexington and Asheville on the way down.

 

I haven't added them here on BA because I don't do reviews, but I do keep a log of my beers. I drink at least one beer per day with dinner, but I have been cutting back on new ones because I'm nearly finished ticking. (I'm at 1,298 on my log.) That count is only for bottled/canned beers, thus it does not include the many beers that I've had on tap, especially the number of samplers on a flight that I always order when I visit a brewery for the first time. (I have over 300 breweries in my trip log, including 15 new ones so far this year.) To answer your question, I'll guess that I've had 100 different new bottled beers so far this year.

 

I have 73 that I have entered this year. I use to review but that stopped for the most part and if I enter a "review" it is just a few quick comments. I do not score anything from my local breweries so someone cannot say I am biased.

 

I was averaging 5-6 new beers (new to me, that is) a week...but I noticed that my pants are starting to fit a little tighter...I ain't in my 20s any more...So I've cut back to just drinking on the weekends for a while, so, short story long, I'm averaging 1 or 2 new brews a week

 

217 new beers this year. 73 until 1000.

 

213 for me this year, though I do tic everything new I try just to keep track and about 100 of those 213 came at a couple of festivals this spring.

 

244 this year. I haven't really even been trying but I have been going to a lot of new places so....

 

671 so far this year. A beer a day is easy.
