A New LIF; or is it a TIF?

In order to win. You have to correctly guess winners of all nfl football divisions conference and super bowl

Points increase per round

Ex. Division winner correct 1 point.
Wildcard teams win 2 point
Conference teams 3 points each
Wimner 5 points
Super bowl teams 7 points each
winner 10 points

 

Each participant chooses a previous Jeopardy category (http://j-archive.com/showseason.php?season=26) and tries to make it funny, a la Sean Connery:



I will select the funniest/ most creative (video or audio Connery impressions would garner HUGE bonus points) and send the winner free beer.

 

I was thinking about this one for a while, was hoping to win on of the lights, camera, action lifs to pull it off.

I was going to play seven degrees of type deal. I put connect two actors and chain them together by who they have starred together before. After I've got my chains to the (x) amount I post the both actors and the first person to replicate my chain exactly wins the lif

May need some tweeks but this will be done someday!

 

My idea would be a lotto type LIF, where I would have three rounds of guessing numbers. Its a simple, yet fun way to run a LIF.

Rules: 1 guess per person (per round) and you cannot repeat a number that has been used by another member.

First round: 1-50 (I will, at random, choose 25 numbers; those who guess the correct numbers advance to round two).
Second: 1-25 (I will, at random, choose 12 numbers; those who guess the correct three numbers advance to the final round).
Third round: 1-12 (I will, at random, choose 1 number; winner takes all).

 

I still think this one I thought up would be the Best LIF of All Time!

Beer Challenge/Video Post LIF
-Must pick 2 of the following to enter and post a video of the two challenges
-I will pick my favorite 3 entrants
-Then everybody will vote for the best

CHALLENGES:
•Drink a 7% or above abv beer through a straw
•Beer bong a 10% abv beer
•Drink a whole bomber (from the bomber) with no hands
•Build and drink a beer from the biggest "Luge" you can make
•Make your Mom (or a female your moms age) drink a entire 12%+ abv beer
•Play beer pong with beer that we all know you should be playing with
•Give an expensive/amazing beer to a homeless person

The What Would You Do for a Klondike Beer BIF.

12 participants. Each person emails the BIF organizer with their ante beer. The BIF organizer then releases the anonymous list and each participant has to put down what beer they'll give up for each beer on the list. (So, if someone put down a Dark Lord, someone else might 'bid' an Abyss for it.)

Here's the catch. Each bid must also include a destructive act so that the owner of the beer gets to watch the owner destroy said beer. (Whoops, I was channeling my Bad BIF idea thread for a second there.) Each bid must also include some random action which the bidder will perform and post in the thread. Bids will also be allowed until the owner of the ante beer chooses one, (allowing for people to continually one-up each other.). Then once selected, the video goes up before the owner ships.

 

Pretty simple, but...

The Dice Roll

I would post a time frame for people to guess the results of my tossing some dice. Person closest to result wins. Actual rolling would be filmed and posted for proof.

 

I love that youre including the "two step children" Alaska and Hawaii. Almost every LIF excludes them and I feel bad. The LIF I did included them but no one from either state won.

 

Just your ol' run of the mill six sided Yahtzee style. Never got into D&D or anything to have any of those cool ones!

 

Weird Coincidence LIF:

I used to work as IT manager for a large network of therapists, psychologists, social workers and the like. One of the doctors there came up with the 'Weird Coincidence Scale" which measures a myriad of things. It was pretty interesting topic so I often discussed it with him. Without going into all the psychoanalytical of test taking variables and conscious recognition of an actual coincidence or the causal effect of a sequence of coincidences and so on he said it is a gauge to determine how likely good things or coincidences were to innately happen to a person.

Simple to use in an LIF require all the participants to take the WCS-2 with some slight changes and determine who truly is the luckiest person and award them accordingly...

 

Message in a Bottle LIF:

Everyone participating in this LIF has to leave a bottle of beer on a bus, drop it out of a plane, float it down a river, etc. with a note attached. The note includes instructions: "If you find this beer, send me a picture of yourself drinking it to say thanks!" (An email address will be created just for this purpose.)

The first participant to have a stranger send in a picture with the beer wins the LIF.

 

There'd be a lot of wasted beer probably. But how would u regulate the legit entrees from the fake? I could have my friend, cousin, brother etc just take a picture drinking beer. This would be a fun one tho
