A new old timer

    Hello everyone,

    I am a longtime looker/reader of BA, but a brand new member. I’m not entirely sure how to navigate most of this site, but figured it was time to join. My name is Patrick. I live in Chicago but was born and raised near Grand Rapids, so beer is a lifeblood for me. Absolutely love Chicago and the passion we have for beer.

    Hey, welcome to the site, Patrick. We're glad you joined. Chicago has a great beer culture, but if you travel back to Grand Rapids you'll find a great culture there too. Come back and spend big bucks, our Michigan economy could use it. :wink:

    Glad to have you here, Patrick. I was similar. Lurked for several years, then finally joined 5+ years ago. I mostly continued to lurk in the New England forums until I stumbled on the concept of a BIF (beer it forward) which led to connections to the New Beer Weekend group, which is the best group of beer nerds going.
