Most golf courses have no craft options or very minimal at best. How do you manage this situation?

I picked the BMC option, but for me it's yuengling. Didn't quite fit the choices.

I didn't vote because nowadays many courses have better beer on the beer cart especially now with the canning craze...last year I had snpa, long trail, among others this year should be even better

I usually pack a cooler of my own. I try to get craft cans like Oskar Blues or Baxter from Maine to name a few. If I'm in a real pinch I'll go with the BMC options they have at the course or cans of my own.

You have to buy from the beer cart, right?? Its so exciting when you see it roll up to you. That said I do try to get the best of what they got. If it is BMC so be it.

I wait until after the round. golf is hard enough when I'm sober.

Last course I played a few weeks ago had Revolution Anti Hero cans. Drank a bunch and proceeded to hit two 340 yard drives with help of crazy wind in my back.

If I had a better playing job/career, I would like to play more often.
Golf is such an interesting sport.
By the way, I love to watch/play most sports.

I think it varies from state to state but in Michigan, you can not (legally) bring your own alcohol to the course if the golf course has a liquor license. I'm pretty much stuck with whatever garbage they are serving.

I play, but while have 8 month old twin boys, my game has dropped from low single to I feel mid teens.

I don't drink on the course. I'll rarely have a beer, and usually when I'm not trying to get a solid/serious game in. We've been known to bring a couple cans of something from time to time. Last summer it was Westbrook Gose and some Jai Alai.

My clubhouse has some local craft on tap. Usually 5-6 taps, usually 1-2 craft taps. They'll fill us to go cups of draft.

I also live on the 17th hole, so sometimes we will stop at my house, walk through the backyard to the garage and pull something from the fridge, or keezer. Or fill a growler up and finish 18, and go play another 9 or duel it out on the par 3 course.

Most of the courses I play at offer at least a few basic craft options, Sierra Navada, Harpoon, Long Trail, etc. If I play one of the courses that doesn't (which tend to also be the courses that dont allow coolers) I'll drink BMC in a pinch. Normally I only have 2 beers or so during the round, most of my drinking is done after the fact, so I usually don't fret if they dont have any craft.

Always bring my own cooler with something fairly light that I can drink a few without getting too buzzed and is still good if it gets warm.

My go to right now is SN summerfest in cans.

We always play early, so it's usually a BA stout as my "swing coach" and whatever else I pack. Usually feeling good by 6 or 7 tee. By then I'm nice and loose bu it's a slippery slope between keeping the buzz or loosing it outright and getting sloppy.

With friends it's a straight up liquor fest, with beer as well. If i'm going out by myself with a cart to play a quick 9 or 18 I bring a small cooler with a couple beers in it. Of course the course (lol) doesn't allow you to bring your own beverages so I have to be somewhat sneaky. The craft options are SN Pale Ale or Ninkasi Total Domination, and at 4-5 bucks a bottle it's not worth it at all.
