I throw a couple Sixpoint Crisps or some other light weight can into the cooler if I'm riding with my buddies.

Semi serious/walking round I'm only packing water.

I don't drink while playing - I have a bad enough game as it is (I am very happy if I shoot 100)
I'll save it till after the round - it's unusual to not even find Sam Adams at a place.
IF there is nothing worth drinking, I'll wait till I get home. No big deal.

Haven't played golf in years. But if I were to play now, I'd consider packing Westbrook Gose.

I am in the minority apparently. I'm not a frequent golfer, but when I do, I buy a six pack of whatever is in cans. Usually Coors or similar.

I can't be bothered to pack a cooler, and almost all courses around here don't allow you to bring your own, so I just buy 2-3 Buds and call it good for 18.

I drink after I play. Heavily!!! Golf is too expen$ive to get all jaked on the course. Village Links in Glen Ellyn has a bountiful tap list, as does Arrowhead in Wheaton. V.L. having great pours and prices to boot. I DO go up to Boyne in Petosky every year for a week of unlimuted play. I ALWAYS stay the Saturday before in Grand Rapids, making my yearly pilgrammage to Founder's and HopCat. My cooler for the week will have Zombie, Gumball, Devil Dancer, Two Hearted, Daisy Cutter, among some newfound canned goodies that are to soon come out.

I'll buy a couple BMC or w/e they have for sale on the cart, and of course tip the girl who hauled it to me. :grinning:

I play, and shoot in the 80s. But the sport is boring & 18 holes takes too much time out of your day (unless a work/weekday entertaining a customer). 9-holes would be perfect. I'd much rather be playing baseball or snowboarding. No offense. To each their own

Depends where I go. A privately-owned, although public-allowed golf club near me sells good beer on tap and has bottles. When I go elsewhere, usually State Golf Courses, I pack my own beer of course!

Played alot of golf from 1978-2006 , (x2membership , 4 hcp , worked in the industry for almost 15+years)
& mostly bought what was served at the turn/grab and go , (Kokanee , Corona , Canadian , Heinken)

Now that I no longer work/play except maybe twice a year ,
craft beer would best suit the 19th hole , not the first to eighteenth
if you need to drink , don't drive , don't even putt

I see Newcastle cans at many courses I've played so go with that. I'll do Blue Moon or Yuengling if push comes to shove.

I golf a fair amount and typically don't drink anything but water/gatorade when I play. I usually walk when I play, so try to stay hydrated. After the round, however, I try to make up for all the time I spent playing golf instead of drinking good beer!

Man back when I was 20 my brother and I brought some Busch Light onto a course during summertime at a college town course. The ranger came by and questioned us about the beer. We told him we bought them from the cart girl. He laughed at us and indicated they didn't sell Busch Light and just went on about his business.

Depends on the course, but many of them are now carrying good beer in cans. OB, Jai Alai, Sweetwater IPA, Founders Centennial and Terrapin Recreation Ale, and now HI-5...
