I've seen Rogue Mom Hefeweizen in the past but we just got Rogue Mom Hefe with Rose Petals. Is this the same beer? I only see Rogue Mom on here aka Hef-E-weizen. The original Rogue Mom had light blue labeling. This has rose red.

I dont think their hefe is usually brewed with rose petals, however they are notorious for changing their bottles/names but not the beer inside. I wouldnt be suprised if it was the exact same.

I thought this was going to be about Voo Doo Doughnut so and so.

I know they used the same name Dad's Little Helper (or something like that) for two different beers -- a malt liquor (which I've never seen) and a Black IPA (which we have here on shelves). So maybe they have a name/themed beer but like to try out different styles within that name. Seems kinda confusing to me, however -- just pick a new name!

I could be wrong, but I believe their 'Mom wheat' has undergone a few changes over the years. It used to be known as Half-e-weizen --- Malts: Great Western Harrington, Klages and Wheat. Hops: Saaz. Specialty: Coriander and Ginger. Yeast & Water: Rogue's Pacman Yeast & Free Range Coastal Water.

Then known as Mom Hefeweizen with the same ingredients.

Now it's Mom Hefeweizen with rose --- Malts: Wheat , Great Western 2-Row Hops: Sterling Specialty: Rose Water, Rose Petals, Honey Yeast & Water: Rogue's Pacman Yeast & Free Range Coastal Water.

I've yet to try the Rose incarnation, but the Half-e-weizen I found too herbal for my liking.
