    What's the deal?

2 releases? What are the bottle dates?

I'm pretty sure it was one release, just a bunch of this randomly went to Canada and Australia several months after the release. If you PM me I can give you the bottle date when I get home.

One release, around 3000-ish bottles total. 1260 bottles went to Canada (50/50 split between Alberta and Ontario) of which approximately 900 hit the shelves, the remaining 300 or so went to bars that can only sell them "on premises only" (they open the bottle there) by law.

Outside Canada, of the remaining ~2000 bottles, "a lot" went to Australia, the rest stayed in the local market I think.

Mine are 2011/02/17 also. To be brutally honesty Golden Blend is the better beer.

Much more intense barrel character in the A&T I've found. Quite the different beer, much bigger difference then say Cantillon Jean Chris Nomad .vs. Classic Gueuze for example.

Having opened about 6 of each so far my experience has been the opposite, but they're both excellent IMHO. It really boils down to what you like in your gueuze. For example, I prefer Classic (Cantillon) .vs. Lou Pepe (Gueuze) most of the time, mainly due to the stronger flavours in the LP making it more of a "special occasion/shareable" bottle .vs. the daily drinkable Classic.

That can be said about golden blend vs 99% of other beers.

I have 2 bottles of A&T, and will be cracking one in December. I look forward to it.

Agreed. A & T has a sharp acidity, closer to Cantillon profile than 3F. Cantillon FTW.

I couldn't agree more, A&T has much more in common with Cantillon Classic than it does with 3F Oude Gueze. I prefer Armand's regular blend to Cantillon Classic (well until Classic is 15+ years old that is) so that would explain it.

Just curious, what kind of trade value do these have? It got one in trade as part of a package deal back before the Canada release, so I have no real perspective on its value 1:1. I was thinking of trying to get a couple more bottles.

Can anyone offer any insight as to recently completed 1:1 trades?

They're getting harder to get as the Canadian stock dwindles down. I don't think I've seen one ISO/FT'd recently though, so no idea what kind of trades are getting done.

Hey there are still a few A&Ts around in Australia . Just recently traded 1:1 for a King Henry and 1:1 for a Hunahpu, IP in SF.
