Do people drink GR? Ever since they changed their cardboard boxes to hide canning dates, I haven't even bothered.

Again, this seems to be part of AB's long term plan to have ownership of craft facilities in many regions more than the profits they want to gain from these breweries current beer being made and output. Can't imagine it has to do with their interest owning rights to the beer that Golden Road makes. Not sure what their next diabolica step for AB will be however after they own varioius craft brewing facilities in all regions of the US. It looks like it will only be a few years away before we find out.

Was it Golden Road that sued Goldenrod or the other way around?

It seems like breweries like this and St. Archers were basically opened solely to blow up, and sell. Hard to believe this was someone's lifelong dream in 2011, then 4 years later sold to Bud.

to me the funny part is that Golden Road's beer already tastes like it's made by a macro company's vision of what craft beer should taste like anyway

Come on Meg don't talk about how great In-Bev is for craft and that's why you sold. Just say, you just got a shit load of money and now you can buy that house in Malibu you've always wanted.

I'm not surprised, since they are only distributed in California and adjoining states. They brew about 60k barrels a year.

Cheesy stuff there. I cannot fault her, but these "alliances" don't always work out. I might drink one at some point, but I probably will not ever buy it.

Not sure what this means. They distribute all over California and also in Arizona and Nevada, so they are far outside of LA already.

Two disparate corporate cultures cannot coexist. They will acquiesce, or she will be gone soon enough. Everyone keeps raving about the Goose Island "partnership.." where just a few years later almost every key player from GI is gone.

Golden Road sent a C&D letter to Golden Rod. Pretty sure nobody got sued.

So now ABI has craft in WA, craft in OR and craft in CA. Should help with their plan to try and muscle out the competition in certain venues on the west coast.
