Stopped by Cork and Craft the other night. Mostra Mocha stout was on point. The Mostra Mocha with ancho and nilla had some weird sh*t going on - >bit of a cloying fruit-like sweetness; yeah, i know there's no fruit in it, but it had a Pipeworks fruit adjunct stout feel to it. Boss Pour and 5PM Session IPAs were pretty good too.

Cool spot that Cork and Craft. Some great guest taps as well.

 

I am somewhat shocked that some people are finally getting around to acknowledge this place. Derek has done a good job though the space is limited but the understanding is that it's suppose to expand. I was there during the mostra anniversary & it was good but again the space was shit though that was to be expected (and I was feeling pretty crumby). the tap list that day was also spot on.

 

How's the food? I was thinking about going there for my birthday.

I can't speak to the food in the main dining room, but the bar menu is great. Having tried most of those items, I'd recommend going during happy hour and just getting several orders of wings, and perhaps one order of Brussels sprouts to share around (just to give the meal a touch of credibility on the health front). I've yet to have a bad dish there, but the wings are the star of the menu.

 

The Brussels sprouts are awesome.

 

The wagyu burger and tots were on point...

 

Looks like the Abnormal/Bottlecraft collab "Quinquenio" is dropping on June 11. Imperial Stout w/ Ethiopia Cacao Nibs, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Piloncillo, and Ancho Chilies. Sounds like a nice consolation prize for not getting bottles of M2.

It is being released at the Bottle Craft beer shops in San Diego.

 

I'm gonna swing by on the way to Alesmith on Wednesday. What are the chances I might be able to pick up a bottle? Not looking for anything in particular, just want to bring something back that's not a growler. I don't want feel like I need to drink it immediatly.

 

They don't have any bottles for sale. One of the Bottlecraft locations may still have the 5th Anniversary collab that Abnormal did for them, but that's it for Abnormal bottles right now.

 

Thanks for the heads up. You kept me from showing up with any expectations and only to be disappointed. Still gonna grab a flight...might eben leave with a growler if they're filling them.

 

Visiting from Florida and was stoked to find bottles of Quinquenio at Bottlecraft in Liberty Public Market.

Nice! Did it look like they have enough to last till tomorrow? Lol.

 

There were about 3-4 bottles in the cooler. When I asked if they had any that weren't cold, they grabbed me one out of the back. So they had at least a few left, maybe more.

 

Head's up: M3 bottle sale at noon on the 29th.

 

Tasted like liquid M&M's when I had it. Never had M2 to compare.

 

M2 was nice, but mouthfeel/thickness of the M3 is like nothing non-BA ever before on the west coast...
also, remove all those posts, I don't want any trouble getting my bottles

 

Just found my 3rd bottle of M2 in the back of my fridge. Did not mean to let it go this long

Will def take a stab at M3 bottles.
