I don’t know what that is, but I’ll bite: what’s the price? Also, did they give information about when it’s for sale to the general public?

Thanks for the rest of the info!

When asked on IG, they lied and said there was no early access to a membership when you purchase the infinity. Good job Abnormal. Keep your overhyped beers and shades.

There was if you bought the package, but not if you bought the single bottle

If you still can't figure out the price stare at this until you see the hidden image and than message me what it is and I will tell you.

the amount of dorkiness in keeping a beer club membership price a secret like some kooky wannabe Illuminati is immeasurable. This is gold, Jerry

A membership that’ll be exorbitantly priced, all they brew are pastry stouts and hazy IPAs, and they have the nuts to call their business “abnormal”? Please...

I'm guessing $400? The bottles and cans are almost worth $300 and they throw in everything else as quasi-value. Could be worth it if you're local and can take advantage of the growler fills and restaurant discount.

Holy cow. It's amazing how the customers don't mind getting f*cked this hard.

How are customers getting fucked? That implies that Abnormal is doing something inappropriate to their customers, which I fail to see here. They set a price for a luxury good based on their own costs and business model, customers were aware of the price before purchasing, and ultimately made a decision to purchase that was no more or less informed than any other beer they choose to purchase.

For the record, I passed on the beers because the combination of cost and going up to Cork & Craft four weeks in a row to complete the set made it fairly unattractive. Any given person who purchased or passed has their reasons, but saying that Abnormal is fucking their customers doesn't seem accurate to me.

Edit: And not to put Derek on the spot, but he said in his post "I purposely priced it as the most expensive beer to be released in SD." If Derek priced it, why is Abnormal getting shit on? I know we all love to take the brewer's side when they're buddies with the community and putting out cool beer and end up at odds with their ex-employer (see Toolbox for a prior example), but coming to a conclusion in the absence of information seems unwise.

It's straight up supply and demand. Also it's tough to start to turn a profit as a start up business.

By that markup, not exactly reasonably. I'm not hating, I applaud the successful investment. That is a huge gain. @HeyBeerMe should be rewarded by more than just 2 bottles of each lol.

It really does go back into the business though. I'm not even sure the owners have received a paycheck yet. I just wanted bottles to share with friends and other brewers.

Aren't people selling these on the secondary market for more than the cost? If so, it tells you that the price wasn't high enough. I wouldn't pay $100 a bottle or whatever secondary is, but there is obviously a market for it.

I am curious if you know the price of say a quarter pounder at mcdonalds versus what it is being sold at to customers.

People are getting all fussy about Avery, and letting this bullshit slide. The people that decide pricing at Abnormal are the real greedy pricks.

I can't get mad at a luxury item having a high profit margin.

Did abnormal announce any of the bottles that would be included in that membership?
