Abnormal Brewing - Summer 2017

I still thought this beer was an overwhelming cinna bomb. sort of like hugs & kisses & the harlequin beer with a difference; attention grabbing adjuncts yet delivery of said flavors were underwhelming.

 

Modern Times is waaay overpriced as well. Can't even bother to put a symbolic wax seal on each BA bottle for what they charge. Only stout I've had from MT that made me think "yeah, it was worth the money" was the MP Nitro can.

 

Best part is reading the comments on Insta ... Abnormal caused an ever BIGGER shit storm, LMAO

 

Saw an email floating around for the people that purchased the sunglasses package, got first dibs on the Abnormal membership. FWIW

 

Do you know if buying the sunglasses package now gives first dibs? Or was it just for the few, early buyers? I still wouldn't buy, since it's unconfirmed information, and that's a lot of money to guarantee a membership that you could join without the upfront cost. But it certainly makes the deal better.

Me and my girlfriend both had the glasses packages in our cart from the other day when we were checking if it was still available. Unfortunately, those packages stay in your cart when you go to checkout for single bottle as well causing us both to go back and update our carts causing us to both miss out - that's what we get for f*&^$ing around

 

Yup, they only released 200 additional bottles for today.

 

You guys really think these were additional bottles??? I'd bet that part of the story is fabricated to save face.

 

Does it matter? We can speculate as much as we want, but until they flat out lie to us, I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

It was hilarious how the people actually chumpy enough to buy the package when they didn't want the glasses were demanding special treatment for the second sale. Entitlement levels to 11.

You know, for being so loyal.

 

It always makes me wonder how many ppl swear off with the typical "I'm never buying/drinking a beer from <insert whatever brewery here> again!" and then there they are in the sales sheet or begging their friends for pours or trading for a bottle.

 

Haven't bought or traded a single Lost Abbey since the DDG debacle. Shit, I've avoided a bar a half mile from me from how badly they f*cked up their Goose Island migration event a couple years ago. #neverforget
