Just another example that Abrasive is well in the wild, went to smaller liquor store, Westwood in St. Louis Park off Louisiana and grabbed a 4-pack. Had a bunch too.

I would love to hear an answer to this! I am going to be back in the Twin Cities during the first week of December so I'd love to find some fresh Abrasive.

It might not be at the first or second store you usually check but if you try a third that would usually have it you will find it. I saw it at 3 of the 4 stores I was at today.

I'm still drinking the 10-30 canning that my local (non metro) LQ store has a large supply of, and its one of those beers that doesn't seem to fall off.

Abrasive is an easy trade for Heady. Shelf for Shelf or freshest possible. We always have fresh Abrasive. Heady is great but not any better than Abrasive. That being said, I would love to trade for some heady but can't cause I haven't been here 30 days. Used to have about 50 trades on here but forgot my username, etc.

$12.99 today only at Haskells Tonka. Picked up 2 four packs - this beer should be this price all the time. Clerk said some guy was in right at 9am to buy a case.

one pack is 11/5 and the other is 11/15 (suppose I could have asked for both freshies but i'm not that guy)

They probably screwed up. Not like Haskells is a cheap store. Most prices are at least $1 more (or the same) than most high priced places.

They usually sell it for $15.99 +, and sold WET for $5 per can. That said this was definitely not an error because they pre-advertised it. I think they either have too much Abrasive or are trying to lure in customers to purchase other stuff.

Thanks for the heads up, went and grabbed a case and their beer guy definitely knows the beer well enough to know what he was doing with this pricing.....and I'm not complaining.

Still can't find this online at all of the usual suspects. Is there less this year compared to this point of last abrasive season? I need my fill...

Probably a bit tougher than last year, France44 has been burning through their stock pretty quick. I hit up 10 places Monday and Tuesday before finding some at Haskell's tonight thanks to a poster above.

There's a big problem trading for Heady - they don't date their cans.
I've had Heady many times, and only once did it taste like a world class beer.

I've seen - many times - photos people took of the ten cases of Heady they picked up.
How long before they get to trading their last case?

I admit that I'm being pessimistic here, but I've been burned on it - so I think I've earned the right to be.
Unless you know people that you can trust on the other end, it's not worth the gamble - IMO.
I'm just not willing to spend any extra money to ship perfectly fantastic Abrasive for crap shoot Heady.

And you said it yourself "Heady is great but not any better than Abrasive."
So really... why would you even bother?

Of course, I'm just a little bit bias to Abrasive.
    Yeah, just a little bit...
