    From Emily Via STLHops

Happy Abraxas draft release day!! We are super excited to share this year's Abraxas with you all.

Sorry to post another new topic, I just wanted to make sure anyone who is interested in this information does not miss it!

TONIGHT: Draft of 2014 Abraxas will be released at 6:00.
FRIDAY: 2013 & 2014 Abraxas will both be tapped at 4:00.
SATURDAY: 2014 Abraxas and Coffee Abraxas will both go on draft at noon in the tasting room and will remain on while supplies last!

-Chef Brian Moxey is working with Completely Sauced on a special menu for Saturday. Food will be available on the Completely Sauced truck from 1:00-8:00. PERENNIAL'S KITCHEN IS CLOSED FOR THE DAY, SO ALL FOOD WILL BE SOLD FROM THE TRUCK.

-Bottles will go on sale at noon, as well. Abraxas will be $20 and Coffee Abraxas will be $25. THE BOTTLE LIMIT WILL NOT BE DETERMINED UNTIL JUST BEFORE NOON.

-Abraxas Spieglau snifters will also be available for purchase. Snifters will be $15 and there will be a limit of one glass per person.

-If you plan on arriving early...
Please do not line up until 9:00AM on Saturday. Our brewery is currently located in a residential neighborhood and we would like for everyone to keep our neighbors in mind while you are outside.
Bottle sharing is permitted, but will be cleaned up at noon when our tasting room opens. If you plan on participating in the bottle share, please bring your own glass. Please clean up after yourselves. We will have plenty of trash cans out for recycling to make this an easy process.

    VIP SESSION INFO:

THERE WILL NOT BE AN EMAIL SENT OUT BEFORE SATURDAY. We (almost) always take email addresses down, just in case.
VIP Sessions are from 1:00-3:00 and 4:00-6:00. If you do not remember which session you signed up for, please email [email protected] by 4:00 PM tomorrow. Both sessions will be located in the barrel room, located behind the tasting room. If you enter through the front door in the tasting room and head past the bar and straight to the back door, you won't miss it. Please have your ID ready for check in upon entering the barrel room. Two bottles of Abraxas and one bottle of Coffee Abraxas will be available for purchase in the barrel room for VIP attendees. You will be given your glass upon entry as well. Bottles must be picked up by 6:00PM.

Please post any questions here and we will do our best to reply ASAP!

What happened to bright and early? I know someone that was there about 6am last year and it sounds like it was well under control and in no way bothering the neighbors.

I would estimate an extraordinarily well behaved crowd of around 350 or so. The line was starting to extend too far into the neighbors' area so they started passing out tickets at 11am to break up the line. They got to the end of the line by about 11:40 and everyone in line got coffee. There were even some tickets left for a regular Abraxas allotment around 12:30 being passed out in front of the tap room.

Also, both regular and coffee were still on tap when I left around one.

Pretty sure there will be multiple batches. Some hits distro this week I believe, and I remember a similar situation last year and I was still drinking it on draft in Dec.

If I remember correctly, I even bought a bottle when I picked up my Sump last year, but I could be mistaken.

They were closed yesterday. But more will be coming out soon. In fact people are going to help prep the spices on Wednesday so I assume there is at least 1 more batch coming.

PS the Coffee Abraxas is fantastic this year. Seriously, its one of my best beers of 2014

I was pretty happy to get a bottle of the coffee. The pours I had Saturday afternoon were first rate.
