Abraxas in Chicago

Still had some when I left 20min ago.

 

People are still buying them here.

 

It was much more lowkey this year in terms of the line. It started an hour earlier and it was dropped other places yesterday as the two biggest factors. But this was a super smooth release and it was nice to have Coffee on tap too.

 

DM me with the stores I can leisurely get it at this weekend. There’s a chance I’ll be busy this weekend, so I’m sure I’ll be able to get it next week, right?

 

I love beer events at that Binnys. It generally goes smooth, in a comfy atmosphere, and tons of good beer. I got a glass of Coffee, glad I tried it, but just aint for me.

I talked to the beer buyer, kinda said they had more this year than last. In total I think he said they had about 10 cases. Line was close to being as long as it was last year along with big drops everywhere.

The other thing too, Tripple Barrel Baptist, Baptista, Hazels Nuts, and BA 10:50 were there, and evryone had one of if not all those bottles with them. Big night at Binnys. So with that too might also be one part to why this lasted as long as it did.

Haha yeah I am in Indiana and couldn't make it but if you guys know any places in Chicago that will have Abraxas I can make it next couple days.

 

Hops and Grapes is pretty legit in Edgewater. Any big Whole Foods generally sits on good stuff for a few days too. Ultimatly though, Abraxas should make its way out to Indiana

 

I skipped it because of the price. Close to $30 after tax, and it’s not barrel aged. Fuck that. I can get a really nice bottle of wine or even a decent bottle of booze, neither of which need to be consumed in one sitting.

 

The Open Bottle should be getting their's on Friday.

 

$25 after tax. Not cheap but it wasn’t $30 at a Binny’s

 

750ml too, so adjusted for a 23oz bomber it's around $22 really
