Abraxas vs BA Abraxas: Head to Head

    I'll start by saying that I was once an Abraxas hater, even on this board, but then something changed.

    After a few abraxas I started to really like it. I had dreams. Then I had the BA Abraxas last wknd, spicy stuff.


    I prefer the standard Abraxas over the BA. Your thoughts?

    Barrel-Aged Abraxas is infinitely better than Abraxas.. but that's just me. I feel like the barrel cuts down on some of that spiciness and allows the cinnamon to come through more.

    They are both damn good beers, but I prefer the original to the BA version by a slight margin.

    Have you asked these two beers if they really want to go head to head? I always thoughts these two beers had a good relationship, shared more camaraderie than competition. And here you are, pitting these two against one another, forcing them into a fight neither of them wanted. "Kings will be tyrants from policy....."

    Both damn good beers, my preference may change based on the moment.

    Love em both. And the regular 17 is almost as good as a BA version too.
