No limit here, it depends on the flavor.

I say no limit needed. Break the boundaries, push the envelope, that's the American Way! If a brewer wants to make high ABV beers, let em. If the brewer wants to make session brews, let em. I'm game for any ABV.

If it tastes good, I will drink it. Double Crooked Tree is one of my favorite DIPAs and it clocks in at 12%.

I'm willing to try any beer. A high ABV won't deter me. I guess 120 and WWS were the highest ABV beers I've had. But I've also had 14-15% beers as well (BCBS, DFH Olde School...). I just try and keep an open mind.

For IPA/DIPA 8-9% is about my upper limit before the beers get stupid sweet and unenjoyable. There are a couple of exceptions but this is true 99% of the time for me. For lighter style beers pils, saison, hefes etc my limit is 6-7. For stouts many begians and barleywines it depends hugely.

I personally voted no limit, some of my favorite beers have a double digit ABV.

WWS was a boozy mess and that has turned me off of beers above 15%. Although, the last time I had BCBS it was around 13%, I really want to get a bottle of the new, higher abv. 15% is a personal preference, which doesn't mean nothing above 15% is a rule for me.

I drink beer for taste, not abv. There are good and bad beers at abvs high and low.

I'd try any beer, regardless of the alcohol content. That said, I don't really have a desire to seek out many over about 10-12% or so.

I love drinking a variety of beers but I do typically lean towards higher alcohol content because I do like to get drunk. Very few beers have been to boozy tasting for me.

No limit for me. I love DFH 120 Min. But, I also drink most bourbons neat, so there you go.

Depending my mood sometimes I am looking for a boozy taste and would stear away for something that hides the ABV. To get to the question, I drink the beers I like regardless of ABV, it does seem most of the beers I enjoy are above 7% and seeing 11+ entices me........ so " no limit here"! That said, the big ABVs usually come in a beer that's a sipper anyhow, I sit back and savor it!

Personally, I think that 10% beers and the plethora of Bourbon barrel-aged beers are a bit much. And sours. I had the Wicked Weed Genesis today and was underwhelmed. While I recognize that it is a very well made beer, the fuss is way too much (Freak of Nature I love). No matter what I do, the memory of righteous fresh Bavarian beers is the standard that I use against all others. A couple of days in Bamberg would desnob many folks. I would rather hoist "several".

No limit as long as it's delicious. I would probably lean to the side of enjoying higher abv beers than lower ones.

I agree that the quality of WWS is compromised by the amped up ABV. But, that does not mean that a tasty 18% beer is impossible. I've had a few 13-14% beers that are flavorful and not alcohol-ridden.

Edit: Upon an inspection of my ratings, the highest ABV beer that I scored highly was Avery's The Beat Grand Cru. It clocks in at 16%+. The only beers that I have had with higher ABVs are WWS and DFH120 - both of which I think suffer from the extremely high ABV.
