Is there a Houston moonshining run expected?

 

is this the same DIPA they already did, or a different recipe?

 

I like to call it the Heady Topper killer. At least I liked it more than HT.

 

IIRC, same recipe. It's just a bigger batch than last year.

 

Has anybody tried this year's batch yet? (i.e. who is drinking one at lunch right now?)

 

It's the same as last year (awesome). I picked up my case for the season already.

 

What was the price per case?

 

$9.59 per 4-pack at HEB. So, around $62 a case after tax.

 

Hmm, I think I might buy a case of this too. That would take care of my IPA needs for a month or two.

 

Heading to Austin tomorrow -- is this an ask-the-beer-guy-to-grab-out-of-the-back release, or will it be out on shelves?

Also, what would be best locations to find it? My research turned up the following spots that I believe will have it:

Sunrise (Anderson Lane)
HEB (41st Street)
Spec's (Airport Blvd)
Whole Foods Lamar
Whip-In

Would Craft Pride be getting it?

All those places should have it. It should just be out on the floor. I would definitely grab a few 4 packs, this stuff is gooooooooooood.

 

If there is I'd love to get in on it. We need the Houston Hoarders to start impacting the Austin market...

It should be pretty much everywhere that sells craft beer now (E1G got their supply a little late) on the shelf/floor.

Double Sunshine, I expect. I need to ask somebody to hold some for me--legitimately my favorite DIPA, I'm pretty sure.

 

I bought 4 4-packs at HEB Mueller yesterday. Looked like they got about 30 cases, so it should be very easy to find around town.
