Tell that to Deschutes. They keep widening their distribution

That they are. That they are. Not a fan of Deschutes' plans for global domination.

Still doesn't mean that there are traders buying it up.

yeah i got one for the cellar, one to drink. if i find more in the next few weeks, then i might pick up one more.

Abyss is more of a nostalgic/loyalty thing for me. A friend bought me a bottle for xmas years ago and it was the first limited craft beer that really made a big impression on me, so i've always held a special place in my heart for it. IMO, beers like b-bomb and a-bomb have surpassed the appeal of Abyss, but I still think it's worth the price.

Good eye. Went there for lunch and must have missed it. Caught the other stores after eating.

I got 2 bottles, sent those bitches to NC for 2 bottles of Olde Hickory Lindley Park. The Abyss is not worth the price. Keeps getting worse every year. The 2010 keg that Uber had on a couple weeks ago was amazing, but it just seems to be getting progressively worse every year. I'm done shelling out the money for it….unless someone offers me something awesome like Lindley Park. Okay….sorry, rant over. On the other hand though…when The Dissident shows up again I'M GOING TO HOARD THAT SHIT!!!

I had a bottle of 2012 Dissident the other night, I don't think it's aging well.

It was really thin, almost reminded me of cider.

Agreed. We opened the 2010 and 2013 the other night. The '10 was amazing. The '13 wasn't even in the same class.

To be fair, Deschutes specifically says on the label that the '13 is best after August 2014. So comparing a '10 to a fresh '13 isn't necessarily apples to apples. As @sanford_and_son mentioned, Abyss is kind of a nostalgic thing for me too. It's probably one of the first barrel-aged stouts I ever tried.

I also have a few Dissidents in the beer fridge, but so far I've been underwhelmed (that includes 2010). These days I probably prefer the Black Butte anniversary beers over either Abyss or Dissident.

Two full cases at Lynnwood Top Foods. 17.19/ea. If there's no limit, could pull six at 10% off.

    I passed.
