Abyss 2013

Oh nice. The wife and I cracked a 2012 a couple weeks ago and it was so good, been craving another ever since.

 

First time ever in Iowa in two weeks. probably really limited

My peeps say MN Metro will see Abyss Thanksgiving week

 

Next week. Depending upon what day of the week each liquor store receives Deschutes.

 

Yup, based on my research, next week. Monday most likely. I asked one place if they were doing a limit and the response was "depends on how much we get" - which is intriguing. Is their "limited" distribution not that 'limited'?

 

according to one shop "very limited" one bottle maybe two bottle limit.

 

Thought it shipped on the 18th?

had some at sturb's tonight. real good as usual.

 

Already available in North Dakota, well at least in Grand Forks. Has been available for at least two weeks now. Didn't see any in Fargo.

 

Spoke to 4 firkins. They don't know when they will be getting it. So it won't be this week

 

Anyone go hunt at all today? I was under the impression it was shipping on the 18th, but some people were saying it may be here the 18th too.. not sure..

 

love how we keep getting less and less of this beer.

 

We do? MN has only been getting it for three years if memory serves. The 2012 was everywhere. Could have picked up as much as I wanted. And since it hasn't even landed yet, who knows how much MN will get?

That said, I'll hunt a bottle or two this year, but the more recent blends haven't charged my battery like the older years. Still a very good beer though.

 

to me it seemed like last year we didn't get as much. either way, they should just make a ton of the 2010 blend and send us tons.
