I understand that, maybe post that in the ISO:FT section, and hopefully/probably you will get something going. That's awesome to have that Old of a vert, you should honestly be able to get something awesome for it

Inspired by this thread, we popped open a 2008 last week & alas, this legendary beer has finally crested the hill & is coasting towards oblivion. Still a good, solid stout, but the body is just beginning to thin & the bourbon is fading; what's left is a combination of malt sweetness & charred roast. We last had one around a year ago & it was still divine, so if you're sitting on ancient Abyss, I'd get to them sooner rather than later.

I'm not surprised to hear this. Frankly, I'm surprised it held up so well, and for as long as it did.

A store here in town (Portland) recently had some sort of auction/raffle for a complete vertical, dating back to the original in 06. I remember thinking that I'm not sure I would have much interest in drinking the 06 thru 09, other than out of simple curiosity. The same store is selling older bottles now, and I think the 07 was just under $40. That beer was fantastic 5 or 6 years ago, but at this point, I would be surprised if it was even drinkable.
