Yeah I did a double take when I saw one bottle of Pumpkinator sitting on the shelf. Felt like Christmas all over again! Pretty sure the manager saved a bottle or two before the Pumpkinator mob hit stores. I remember that location selling out within a few hours of release, and I couldn't buy any last October.

An azzhole would've scoped out where the manager was hiding the beer and made off with a case when they weren't looking.

He's merely got a good haul.

 

That is one hell of a haul. Abyss in Houston is either not coming, or there's going to be enough that its going to be sitting on shelves for awhile like previous years.

According to the assistant VP of sales for Ben E Keith, Abyss SHOULD drop in DFW this week. Once again, This guy has blown smoke up my ass on more than one occasion, but after all the flack they've gotten about this particular beer, I believe him. As soon as it appears, I'll spread the word. I know My store should get some, as well as Hall's in Colleyville, and Whip-In in Flowermound. It will most likely be highly allocated, just like the Dissident was (I.E. only 1-2 cases per account), but I WILL let you all know when it makes it mystical appearance.

Realize this is an Abyss thread... but Pumpkinator was mentioned above. I have at least 6 I'd like to trade if anyone's interested. Will be at JK2 tomorrow... so let me know if anyone's interested.

what on earth makes you think this? and when has it sit on shelves in houston before? we've only gotten it the past two years and if you werent at midtown specs on release date, it was an extremely tough get.

 

Well, I remember last year or maybe it was the year before that I saw it on multiple visits on the shelf at the specs on 290@jones. At the time I didn't know what it was, so when I did pick one up it was in the cooler at an HEB, which it never gets into the cooler unless it sits for awhile.

May have been posted already, but on Thursday the HEB at 620 and Anderson Mill had the Abyss out on their shelves. At that time, they had about 10 bottles left, I'd say.

 

Any Abyss left anywhere in Austin?
