Beer guy at CM Southlake said that TX allocation had been sitting in warehouses down here but was re-routed to other markets due to the TABC approval taking too long - hopefully not true, and it was just delayed.

Seriously dude, do you know the potential shitstorm that could be caused by posting something like this? If there's one thing I've learned from all my beer purchasing, is that MOST(not all, MOST) "beer guys" know jack shit about the status or whereabouts of a particular release. Central Market "beer guys"(I use that term loosely, as they're generally more focused on their wine selection) are even less reliable. I've been to most of this area's CM's, including that one, and whatever questions their "beer guys" have answered ended up being flat out wrong.

And even if that rumor ends up, somehow, being true... I definately wouldn't post it here(where the jackals feast) until it became more of a known fact.

Now if it were someone like Fern making that statement I would start to worry...

Debated on whether or not to post it on here, but figured what the hell. Also, assumed that he didn't know much of what he was talking about...

I was told by the Central Market dude that Abyss will be here next week... I've been hearing that for the last month though.. It's all just a guess.

Abyss should be aged for at least a year anyway, so I don't care if it takes a little while before it hits the shelf.

Hey, as long as they don't charge extra for the aging. That's all good Jack!

And we hope that there is some temp control on the aging environment. Most likely sitting in 80+ degree warehouse for part of the aging unfortunately.

I don't know how E1G got Dissident delivered on NEW YEARS DAY and ahead of every other store in Austin but more power to them. It's a good sign that the much fabeled Austin allocation will be showing up at other retailers. My partictular sources have been pretty circumspect about it.
